The Sony WH-1000XM3 over-ear headphones are some of the best of 2019....
Great sound; Very comfortable; Excellent ANC
Expensive; Complicated UX; Finicky controls
Sony NC headphones were pretty famous worldwide. It had a retail price tag of USD350. For some unknown reason I was able to grab a pair for AUD395 and just after my purchase the price went back up to its original AUD595 price tag! Plus I had afterpay enabled from Myer
The WH-1000XM3 are a worthy successor to the popular WH-1000XM2 headphones, improving on them in a few subtle ways with the addition of USB-C charging and new ear pads.

Had these a couple of months now and I must say they are exceptional. I find the noise cancelling very good .I have tried a few makes but these far out weigh many others .
I had my last Bose earphones stolen so needed a replacement, it was a toss up between the Bose 700 and these, all the reviews said the Sony were better, they are! The touch controls are much better, you can adjust the sound and tone and they are cheaper, very happy with my choice
With its comfortable fit and superb performance, the Sony WH-1000XM3 is the noise-canceling headphone to beat.
The excellent-sounding Sony WH-1000XM3 is more comfortable and 20% lighter than its predecessor; It offers slightly improved noise canceling and performs better as a headset for making calls; Battery life is strong, and it has some nifty extra features geared toward frequent travelers.
Your ears can get a little warm inside the ear cups; I encountered some adaptive noise-canceling hiccups.
For more than a year Sony's WH-1000XM3 has been the highest-rated wireless noise-canceling headphone on CNET, and it's still my favorite overall. It's still hard to beat its combination of design, features and performance -- both its sound and noise-canceling capabilities. Priced at $350, £330 or AU$499, the WH-1000XM3 is regularly discounted to $300 and sometimes less.

One of the finest noise cancelling headphones we've heard
The best noise cancellation ever; Excellent sound quality; Fast charge feature is great; Comfortable fit; Responsive controls;
Could do with a touch more detail in the treble;
Without a doubt, the Sony are a fantastic pair of headphones, offering a good sound experience, excellent noise canceling (including the Adaptive Sound Control), the call quality is above average and the build quality is decent.
