Never Heard This Clarity Before

I have always just used very cheap headphones for my production. Just bought the MDR-7506s and am blown away! I have never heard music in this depth and clarity before! There could be a bit more bass but it is fine the way it is. Very level output, making it great for production.

The best.

Been using for over ten years. Buy once a year just cause wear and tear. Been in many studios with different headphones. By far most accurate. Over ear studio monitors. Love.

Sony MDR-7506 Headphone Black - Brand New review

The MDR-7506 headphones from Sony are a staple for audio professionals and enthusiasts alike. With premium 40 mm drivers, these headphones deliver full-range, professional-quality audio with a frequency response of 10Hz to 20kHz for highly accurate reproduction of every sonic detail.

Easily breaks, poor quality

I have had two pairs of these headphones in the last 5 months because the keeps breaking. Like physically falling apart! The earphone just somehow crack and separate from the headband.

perfect

Nothing works better like old school headphones, the sound becomes alive compared to other headphones. very comfortable for long term use.

The Industry Standard

Wow! I guess there's a reason these headphones are the industry standard in most recording studios. Great isolation with very little leakage. Awesome highs and mids and the lows are solid. Not too much bass. These cans are close to perfection.

Not Durable

I have owned this headset for 2 years and found it to be adequate but not durable. The sound is fine for communication, but they feel cheap and the ear cushions are peeling off.

Sony MDR-7506 Review

The industry standard for a reason

Good sound for mixing; Isolation; Solid cable; Price

Not for bassheads; Coiled 9.8-foot long cable is heavy and not the most portable; Plastic build

New Sony MDR-7506 Headphone Black review

Good for neutral listening. The Sony MDR-7506 have a well-balanced sound with a punchy bass that doesn't drown the excellent mid-range. Instruments and vocals sounded good if a little lacking in detail and clarity compared to some other neutral listening models like the DT 770 and the ATH-M50x.

Best value headphones available

Primarily used for gaming and music, these are the best quality headphones I've ever owned. Sure they aren't Bluetooth, but the sound is unbeatable. And for the price point (<$100), these are the only choice.
