Great Sound quality

Quality Sound and easy to instal. Looks great in white would have preferred if they made white power cable to go with white bar rather than black but was able to hide power cord using power board. great sound with matching songs built in ceiling speakers.

Agree that the sound is good, but not super. In my opinion, it does not give the same stereo feeling as a longer soundbar. Gets very good with a sonos sub. Nice that this connected to the TV makes it possible to get the TV sound on any sonos speaker in the house, eg in the kitchen.

Sonos Beam - Black BEAM1AU1BLK review

With great sound and amazing features, Beam is Sonos’ smartest and best value speaker yet

Looks good and sounds great; Alexa and AirPlay 2 integration; HDMI ARC support; Cheaper than Playbar and Playbase

Not as punchy as Playbar; Only one ethernet port; Not all Alexa skills work

Sonos Beam - Black BEAM1AU1BLK review

Despite being £300 cheaper than Sonos’s other TV audio solutions, the Beam is expensive for just a soundbar. The thing is, it isn’t just a soundbar. It’s one of the most compact and aesthetically pleasing soundbars that still has full-range sound without needing a sub.

compact and attractive; great; room-filling sound whether TV or music; easy set up; Alexa; easy to add to with more speakers

relatively expensive; no room-shaking bass; takes up a port on your TV; no HDMI pass-through; no support for Dolby Atmos

Sonos Beam review

Sonos’ home cinema gear has always been a little expensive, but with Beam, it’s created a great value soundbar. It sounds ace, comes with loads of features, and is compact enough to fit into the average living room AV setup without taking over. If you want the best sounding system then Playbar or Playbase are still the products to go for, but they’re a lot more money, they don’t have Alexa, and they don’t control your TV in the same slick way as Beam does. As it stands, Sonos Beam is easy to recommend for anyone who loves watching TV, and a high-value intro to the brilliant world of Sonos home audio. READ MORE: Which Sonos should you buy?

Sonos Beam: Wide Home Theater Sound for Your Living Room, Great Music Sound Anywhere

Sonos recently announced a new soundbar they call the Sonos Beam . I've had some time to test it and simply to use it, and the Beam might be the most impressive speaker I've tested from Sonos yet, especially considering its US$399 price tag .

Easy setup; great, full sound; lower cost-of-entry than other Sonos home theater speakers; better sound and more flexible than Apple's HomePod

Only works with other Sonos speakers for surround sound and subwoofer; With a $699 Sonos SUB as the only subwoofer option, that's a pricey step

Sonos has always gone its own way. The speaker manufacturer dedicated itself to network-connected speakers before there were home networks and they sold a tablet-like remote control before there were tablets. Their surround sound systems install quickly and run seamlessly.

Earlier this month , Sonos added the Sonos Beam sound bar to its product range. It's Sonos' second sound bar, smaller and more compact than its older Play Bar and its related Play Base product. Beam appeals to consumers who aren't looking to kit out a huge home theatre.
