Sonos Arc review

The Sonos Arc is easily one of the best soundbars money can buy with amazingly immersive sound and smart features. It's only hampered by HDMI issues.

Incredibly spacious sound; Dolby Atmos support; Slick user experience; Smart features;

Expensive; No HDMI pass-through;

Sonos Arc - Black ARCG1AU1BLK review

The Sonos Arc is a big, sleek, premium soundbar that sounds every bit as good as you’d expect from a £799 speaker. It looks the part. Despite being about the length of a 55in TV, it is neither thick nor tall which makes it easier to position on the wall or on a TV stand.

sounds fantastic with music; great Dolby Atmos reproduction; super-clear vocals; Night Sound; wide soundstage; looks good; Alexa or Google Assistant; extensive music service support; simple set-up; surprisingly good bass without a sub

expensive; ARC/eARC rather than HDMI pass-through; takes up a port on your TV; can have lipsync issues like any soundbar

The product itself is really good. Me and my wife were torn between this and the bose 700 as there was a $300 price difference. After listening to both, we decided on the sonos arc despite it being more expensive as the sonos produced slightly better sound clarity.

Fantastic

It was very easy to install and has a great step by step app to help. It omits great sound and continuously reads the room for optimal sound. The app also helps you control sound like for night time quiet or voice enhancement. Its great for movie sound too.

Sonos Arc - Black ARCG1AU1BLK review

Sonos has finally given us an upgrade to the Playbar, and it’s impressive. The Arc has an improved design, modern features and stellar sound. Plus, Arc automatically adjusts if you choose to expand your system.

Nice soundbar albeit expensive

This product is easy to setup and easy to configure via the Sonos app. Looks great also. Used it to replace an old Magnat Sound bar/sub combo but not noticing the lack of sub currently as the sound bar has quite a bit of bass (after changing through the app).

Sonos Arc review

The Arc from Sonos is a streamlined soundbar that offers a premium surround sound experience without the need for supplementary speakers. If you want a minimalist surround sound package and you have a squarish home cinema room then the Sonos Arc is an excellent all-in-one surround sound system.

Dolby Atmos, TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus; Discrete all-in-one soundbar; Amazing surround sound and music playback;

Doesn’t suit every room; Trueplay Tuning is iOS only; Smart assistant integration limited

Sonos Arc review: A solid soundbar for the Dolby Atmos era

When Sonos debuted its first soundbar, the $699 Playbar in 2013, it received well-deserved praise. As a dead-simple, but somewhat pricey way to give your TV a massive audio upgrade, it succeeded on just about all but one front: The decision on Sonos’ part to equip the Playbar with a single optical input meant the Playbar would forever be locked out of the expanding world of surround formats like Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and Dolby Atmos — something reviewers noted at the time as a drawback to an otherwise superb product. Seven years later, Sonos has returned to the full-size home theater soundbar arena with the $799 Arc, a Dolby Atmos-capable speaker that shows off everything the company has learned since the Playbar’s debut. Did Sonos push the envelope far enough this time, or has it simply played catchup? Let’s take a look. I’ve said before that when it comes to soundbars, the best designs draw no attention to themselves at all. After all, your visual focus should be on your ...

Excellent surround sound; Easy and simple setup; Decent Dolby Atmos from a single speaker; Choice of Alexa or Google Assistant;

No HDMI inputs; Not ideal for all music genres;
