As a 6 footer, this monopod gives me the extra height needed to prevent having to bend over. It seems like most monopods top out at about 5 feet and the extra few inches of this model really make a difference in terms of comfort.

Good, solid piece of kit.

I have used this monopod for a few years now, usually with large, heavy glass and it is still as sturdy as the day I bought it. With or without a ball-head attached I find it very versatile. My only (minor) gripe would be that it's a bit shiny for wildlife use.

the older version was heavier than the current product - with OS I thought I'd only need a tripod for those times when time exposure or extreme stability was an issue - I was wrong even with OS on all my lenses the monopod is still a viable tool.

The quick release latches make set-up and break-down a snap. Nearly instantly I am set up and my friends are still twisting on all three sections of their monopods and trying to get the height setting correct. They are the ones that look at me and comment on my system.
