Sigma SD Quattro H Review

Sigma's SD Quattro H is a camera for people who truly love the process of photography.

Beautifully rich image quality at base ISO; Seven-exposure mode; Great; weather-sealed build quality; Unique sensor; Affordable for the quality

Very noisy at high ISO; Slow autofocus; Long image write times; Poor battery life

Sigma sd Quattro H

There's no quarreling with the incredible image quality that the Sigma sd Quattro H can shoot. For the price, you won't find another camera that delivers as much resolution for the price.

Incredible low ISO image quality; DNG workflow; Large APS-H image sensor; Dual rear LCDs; Removable IR filter; Optional battery grip available

Poor high ISO images; Slow start and autofocus; EVF could be better; Omits video and Wi-Fi

In just about every respect, the SD Quattro H is the best camera Sigma has ever built. If you're onboard with the Foveon concept, you can pretty much stop reading now: you'll love this camera.

Megapixel monster.

The Sdqh is a slight but noticeable improvement on the Sdq, better resolution, better low light performance and better bokeh rendition due to the larger sensor. The camera is extremely well built and is comfortable especially while using the battery grip.

Fills Its Niche Very Well

First thing to say is that this is not a general-purpose camera, though Sigma seems to promote its Foveon products that way. It's a studio camera, a portrait camera, a landscape camera, a camera that's happiest on a tripod, being used by a careful photographer to make photos of exceptionally high...

Sigma SD Quattro H Review

The SD Quattro H is Sigma's best ever camera, offering the impressive detail levels its Foveon sensors are known for in a well-built, well-polished body. The sensor has significant noise and dynamic range restrictions but if you want what it offers, the SD Quattro H may be the highly specialized tool for the job.
