Review: Sennheiser GSP 300

Like most gaming hardware, headsets often are overwrought and chintzy, sacrificing quality for flare. It's gotten so bad that I tend to expect a $20 pair of Sony cans to outperform a $100 gaming headset.

Excellent sound; Comfort and a minimalist design keep this set focused on delivering a great experience without frivolous extras; Works with consoles, PCs, Macs, and mobile devices; Nice price

Still looks gamer-y; Cheap plastic chassis flexes a bit much and can rattle

Back in August we put out some literature on the release of the GSP 300, Sennheiser's newest gaming headset. Rocking a closed back design and boom mic, this gaming headset advertises superior comfort and impressive bass. But at the sweet low price of just $99, is the hype justified?

Today, with a big thanks to Sennheiser, we will be taking a good look at the GSP 300 Closed Acoustic Headset. Sennheiser has lately started producing more and more gaming headsets, such as the G4ME ZERO pairing

Better Sound than the Game Zero

I ended up returning the Game Zero because the bass was lacking so much. This makes up for it with better overall sound that includes more pronounced bass. This is the first closed back headset that I have tried that offers a good amount of bass and outside noise dampening.

AWFUL

Right side didn't work at all. Tried every possibility. Just didn't work, huge disappointment. Also built poorly.

Sennheiser GSP 300 Gaming Headset Review

KitGuru Says: It might look and sound good, but there are enough problems with the Sennheiser GSP 300 that make its £90 price tag hard to justify.

Sounds great in all gaming and musical genres; Solid; well-built design; Great clarity throughout the volume range; Comfortable and looks great; Mic-boom automute was a nice touch

Could do with a little extra volume; Microphone is ridiculously quiet – almost unusably so; Expensive for what you get; Ears can feel a bit cramped after long use; No bundled software for sound tweaking

Great sturdy headset.

Great closed back headset. Very good isolation! All made of plastic, however still remains sturdy and has a high quality construction. Sound is pretty well balanced as well, detail is very good for a closed headset. No need for an amp or mixer to feed this headset.

My favourite gaming headset.

Awesome gaming headset, the best one I have ever used and I have had more expensive ones before. It picks up the voice very well and it sounds natural.

Useful for conference calls

I use this for conference calls. The voice clarity is great and no one has mentioned about any background noise. Happy with the product

Pretty good

Easy to set up. Comfortable wearing. Mic works well with no breath sound. Overall sound a little disappointing, could have used some more bass, but this might be the game I'm playing rather thanh the headphones. Overall pretty good
