Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 512GB Black SM-F926BZKGXNZ review

For all its qualities, there are still some conceptual issues with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 3 that start to annoy over time. By the second week of use, we did grow tired of the smaller screen and its squished controls.

Stunning displays Snappy processor Stronger hinge

Very expensive Middling cameras

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 512GB Black SM-F926BZKGXNZ review

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the best foldable phone/tablet ever made and offers a range of features that will help you do more than ever before. It’s priced far beyond what most are willing to pay though, and a few of the apps need work yet.

The tablet/phone hybrid we’ve been dreaming of, Multitasking app support is fantastic, Feels like a more polished product overall, 120Hz on every screen

Some apps are buggy in Flex mode, Under display camera isn’t great

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the third iteration of the Korean company’s foldable phone models and it is no longer a novelty like a couple of years ago .

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G (512GB, Silver) - Excellent review

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is a solid step forward for Samsung’s flagship foldable line, offering a more durable design, solid component upgrades and improved multi-tasking. But the screens’ atypical aspect ratios still come with some usability compromises.

Much tougher than past versions, Powerful performance, Bright, punch main screen that’s great for gaming, You’re a power user that likes to have THE latest gadgets: The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the first foldable I’ve used that doesn’t feel like a prototype thanks to general improvements to its software...

Apps still don’t always display correctly, You want the best phone or tablet experience possible: Despite excellent work by Samsung improving the Fold 3, the screens’ atypical aspect ratios still hinder the overall user experience.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G (512GB, Silver) - Excellent review

An industry-defining foldable that offers improved hardware, optimised software and a few surprises (like S Pen stylus support and water resistance), on top of a lower price tag than its predecessor

Improved design and durability, Productivity powerhouse, Beautiful displays, Consistent cameras

Some apps require manual optimisation, Terrible under-display camera, Cumbersome

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G (512GB, Silver) - Excellent review

All-weather foldable. With the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, Samsung has presented the third generation of its folding smartphone along with many detailed improvements. The foldable leaves a mature impression now, it looks more stable, and it has also become more affordable.

bright, color-accurate OLED displays with 120 Hz, fast system, long-term updates, IPX8 certification, good positioning capabilities, USB Type-C 3.2 with HDMI/DP and DeX, S Pen support

storage expansion not possible, SoC throttles, Phone calls in speaker mode, mediocre ultra wide-angle lens

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G (512GB, Silver) - Excellent review

This can be considered two phones in one, ‘folded’ it’s a little narrow compared to most recent offering, ‘unfolded’ you need large hands or a flat surface to lay it on. Having told you about the Samsung Flip last year here is its big brother the Samsung Fold.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G (512GB, Silver) - Excellent review

Samsung has always been open to experimental form factors. The first Note series is a good example of the Korean giant hitting on something that wasn’t immediately met with positive reviews. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is an evolution of that mindset.
