Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 256GB Black SM-F711BZKEXNZ review

The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G for the Philippines is undoubtedly better than ever. They’ve made several key improvements to make the form factor even better this year and the fact that they were able to lower the price definitely makes the compelling foldable from the brand.

Larger, More Useful Cover Screen, Improved Build Quality, Cheaper Price Compared to Last Iteration

Poor Battery Life, Noticeable Dip in the Crease

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 256GB Black SM-F711BZKEXNZ review

With the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung has finally made a foldable clamshell phone that can be taken seriously. It has taken a couple of attempts, but Samsung’s latest line of foldable phones finally have a clear reason to exist.

Folds up into a neat package, Smooth 120Hz inner display, Water resistant, Much cheaper (but still not cheap), You crave something different: There’s no doubting the Z Flip 3 is unique and it feels like something genuinely new. Or at least a new version of something old.

The outer display is better but still fairly limited, Mid-range cameras, Average battery life, Specs are what you want: The Z Flip 3 is more than fast enough, but it can’t compete with the best for camera quality, battery life or charging speeds.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 updated review: Still flippin' marvellous

Although not a giant leap forward compared to its predecessor, the Z Flip 3 is a much more fluidly designed device. It's now deep into its life cycle, but this is still the foldable phone to beat. With a price tag that tackles 'normal' flagships head-on, too, it'll certainly turn some heads - even if there are a few compromises that are part and parcel of a foldable.

Larger front screen is much better looking and more neatly integrated; The tidiest flip phone design of any maker to date; Plenty of power and sturdy software;

Largely similar to predecessor; Screen coating is unavoidably reflective and ongoing 'crease' issues remain; No under panel camera (UPC) - as seen in Z Fold 3;

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Black) AU - Pristine review

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is the pinnacle of flip phone perfection. One that is eminently usable, pocketable, and has decent specs.

Significant improvement over the previous model, Excellent camera, Cover display is useful for dual preview selfie

Unusual screen resizing behaviour on some apps and websites, No charger or buds inbox, USB-C 2.0, Barely a day's life with moderate use and slow charging, Big Trhottling issue

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Black) AU - Pristine review

I love the Galaxy Z Flip 3. There are drawbacks – battery and camera primarily, though durability is in there too – but Samsung has absolutely nailed the aesthetic and functionality of this form factor.

Stunning design, Waterproof, Competitive pricing, Customisable colours

No telephoto lens, Limited battery, Still some durability concerns

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Black) AU - Pristine review

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3’s unique selling point is without a doubt its unique foldable clamshell design. If you find this to be very appealing, then the enhanced durability and attractive inner display might persuade you to buy one.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Black) AU - Pristine review

Works well. Samsung also provides the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, the slimmer folding phone, with the improved mechanism of the Z Fold3. But not only the folding technology has improved, the hardware is also state of the art. Our review reveals what the complete package can do.

bright OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, system runs fast, water-resistant according to the IPX8 standard, good camera performance

no storage expansion, only USB 2.0, battery life should be better

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Black) AU - Pristine review

The Galaxy Z Flip3 is a unique phone with one goal: give you an ultra-compact foldable phone with as few tradeoffs as possible compared to a similarly priced “classic” Galaxy phone. And for the most part, it does deliver a near-identical compute performance and legacy functionalities.

Unique user experience, Awesome ultra-compact design, Excellent 120Hz display, Great compute performance, Unique user experience, Awesome ultra-compact design, Excellent 120Hz display, Great compute performance
