Easy to set up. Works really well if you want to go phone-less. Great form and not too bulky.

Easy to set up. Works really well if you want to go phone-less. Great form and not too bulky.
As one of the market’s best alternatives to an Apple Watch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is an excellent choice for Android users, or anyone looking for a feature-rich, fitness-focused smartwatch bursting with great health features.
Simple yet stylish design, Bright, clean display, Vibrant and engaging UI, Lots of customisation on offer, Better-than-expected battery life
Lack of third-party app support, UI could be more intuitive, Incremental upgrade over predecessor
Honestly can not fault this watch! I am absoloutely loving it.
Great product would be 5 stars if battery life was longer love all the features still learning more and hard to learn with no instructions manual (omg am I old saying that lol)
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 has received a heap of new features that make it a seriously excellent smartwatch in 2021. Its mix of price, compact sporty build and decent health features put it at the top table of smartwatch options, with plenty of deals available.
Still a lovely smartwatch to wear, Rotating bezel, Feature-packed for the price, ECG and blood pressure
Editors' note, Nov. 18, 2020: With the addition of the long-awaited electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) and an update that's given the watch many of the same health features as the more expensive Galaxy Watch 3, we've awarded the Active 2 an Editors' Choice. It's a good all-round option for someone looking for a smartwatch compatible with Android and iOS. Our review, originally published September 2019, follows.
A year after release, there's a lot to like about the Galaxy Watch Active 2 especially now that ECG is finally available.
Comfortable during workouts and when sleeping. Same VO2 max and trip detection as the Watch 3. Updated running coach works if you can live with the Bixby voice. Touch bezel to navigate between menus. Comes in two sizes, with an LTE option.
Battery life on the smaller 40mm version takes a beating during workouts, especially with the always-on display active. ECG is only available when tied to a Galaxy phone.

Sleek, premium design Sharp AMOLED display Touch-enabled bezel for quick navigation Bluetooth + LTE variants for more flexibility ~2 day battery life Fantastic sleep tracking
No MST payments with Samsung Pay Tizen app ecosystem is still lacking compared to Wear OS Heart rate, GPS, and altimeter sensors can be wonky Setup process still needs work
With practice, it soon becomes easy to use and is undoubtedly one of the most cutting-edge GPS watches on the market, with the modern, minimalist styling and features on offer going a long way to justify the price tag.
Slick design with unique navigation tools and a bright, crystal clear screen displaying distances and hole maps.
Green Undulation technology isn't widely available. Laborious setting up process.
The trouble with releasing a follow-up device so soon after the first is there may not be too much to shout about
Looks great, Digital bezel works well, Fantastic screen
Battery life could be better, Samsung Health isn’t great, Some menu items are hard to find
