Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite review

A great mid-range tablet for students and casual users, but not quite as impressive as the previous Tab S5e.

Portable and premium design; Responsive performance; S Pen included;

No AMOLED screen; No fingerprint scanner; DeX not included;

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Blue SM-P610NZBAXNZ review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite bundles in a decent keyboard cover and stylus while offering a large display, great battery life and offers a fair compromise of performance and capabilities for what you pay for.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is an affordable creative and note-taking tablet for users who prefer to stay on the Android side of things.

S Pen stylus included; Rich stereo speakers; Good build quality

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Review

Creativity comes easy with the $349.99 Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, the best way to get an active stylus tablet at a relatively low cost. The S6 Lite's included S Pen stylus gives you a pen experience for $80 less than the base iPad plus Apple Pencil, making this tablet a good choice for people doing note-taking or art on a budget. The base iPad remains our Editor's Choice because there's so much more creative software available for that platform, though. The Android tablet world is a little odd. There's a vibrant range of sub-$200 media tablets such as the Amazon Fire line and Walmart's Onn. tablets, but above that, the market is so dominated by various iPads that Android tablets get relatively little air. Samsung is still out there swinging, though, with its low-midrange Tab A line, its high-end Tab S6, and now the 64GB S6 Lite, which competes with the 32GB base model iPad ($329). The tablet doesn't feel low-end. It's made of a classy, matte gray material, measuring 9.6 by 6.1 by...

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite review: A better Android tablet for everyone

After spending a few weeks using the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, I've decided the tablet's capabilities exceed its name. I mean, it is lighter on features and performance than the full-fledged Galaxy Tab S6, so in that sense it is a "lite" version. But the name does it a disservice, because I never really felt like I was missing features. Maybe it's because the S6 Lite isn't trying to be an Android two-in-one laptop and instead just does more than I expected from a midrange Android tablet, and that's what makes it a standout.

Despite being called Lite, Samsung's midrange tablet has plenty to offer anyone looking for an Android tablet to do more than stream movies and shop.

Included S Pen is good for note-taking, sketching and more; High-quality display and audio; More than 11 hours of battery life;

Palm rejection needs improvement; Samsung's Book Cover is pricy on its own;

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Blue SM-P610NZBAXNZ review

: This is the all-rounder tablet to get if you want the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 tablet but don’t have the budget for it.

: The midrange version of the best Samsung tablet that can do almost everything well, even replace your laptop; Super loud boombox audio.

: Still a bit pricey for a midrange Android tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Blue SM-P610NZBAXNZ review

Samsung is the only manufacturer interested in producing high-end Android tablets, but last year, the company added a slightly cheaper option to its Tab S lineup. The Galaxy Tab S5e retained the high-quality AMOLED screen and thin design of Samsung's highest-end models, but lacked the Tab S4's...

Design The Tab S6 Lite is built well, despite the budget-ish price. The screen is also decent; Stylus The S Pen works similarly to the pen on Galaxy Note phones, complete with pressure sensitivity and a button for performing actions in apps; Battery This tablet just keeps going.

Missing features The Tab S6 Lite sacrifices some functionality from the Tab S6/Tab S5e in the name of reduced costs — there's no fingerprint sensor, no pogo connectors for keyboard accessories, and no AMOLED screen; Software There still aren't many Android apps specifically optimized for tablets.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite brings you the S Pen essentials in a compact body with an easy-to-swallow price tag

Affordable tablet with excellent stylus experience; Light; comfy design for on-the-go work; Great speakers

Performance is choppy; No DeX; no Themes; no Game Launcher; Don't expect a Keyboard Book Cover for this one; No secure biometric lock
