Samsung Galaxy S5 review

It's back to basics, Samsung says about the Galaxy S5. Time to focus on what matters - displays, batteries, and cameras - and to start to let the rest go. That's the approach Samsung needed to take, but all it was was lip service.

Great display; Excellent performance; Camera can take amazing pictures; Waterproof

Overwhelming features and options; Cheap; boring design; Camera struggles in low light

Samsung Galaxy S5 Review

The Galaxy S5 is another win for Samsung. If you're looking to upgrade, there are a lot of watertight reasons to choose GS5.

Fast; powerful processor; Clean; redesigned interface; Waterproof and dustproof; Built-in fingerprint scanner; heart-rate monitor; Feels comfortable to hold; Competitive camera; MicroSD support; Removable battery with new Ultra Power Saver Mode

Stale design; Poor speaker quality; No KnockOn feature; Audio jack is on top of phone; Camera refocus is a gimmick; Packed with Samsung services

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active review: sturdy, but not "everything-proof"

Whatever the paint job, whether a Galaxy S5 Active belongs in your pocket depends on how much meat you really need on your smartphone's bones. Remember, the stock S5 is already immersion-resistant, and while a MIL-STD-810G rating should mean the Active is much more durable, in our experience that...

Impressive Design & Features!

I bought this little over a month ago and so far I am thrilled with this sleek and elegantly designed smartphone! I previously had the s3 which I was seriously attached to after thinking I would never leave the iPhone's side, but Samsung's latest releases are pleasing me entirely :) I love that the...

Samsung Galaxy S5 Review: Should You Wait For The Note 4?

Samsung has a reputation to maintain - has it succeeded with its latest flagship, the Galaxy S5?

Excellent screen; Capable camera; Great battery life becomes excellent with Ultra Power Saving mode; Plenty of power and storage,Water resistant; S Health suite

Ugly design; Mediocre speaker; Poor fingerprint scanner implementation

The basics The Samsung Galaxy S5, the latest and greatest flagship phone from the South Korean electronics giant, is finally here, and it takes the place of last year's tip-top Galaxy S4.

If we say the Samsung Galaxy S5 provides little in the way of surprise, that's not meant as a backhanded compliment...we think; This is the light heavyweight phone you'd expect; It rings up at just 145g on the scales, but still feels sturdy, with a design that's very familiar by this point - so...

Samsung's not afraid to cram in all manner of different features into its phones; and while we've seen that in the past with shedloads of software smarts that are questionable in their practicality (EyeTracking; anyone?

"The Samsung Galaxy S5"

The Samsung Galaxy S5 I have been using the Samsung Galaxy range of phones for quite a few years now. I started with the Galaxy Ace, then I got the S3 and now I am using the S5. Before I got the S5, I temporarily got a windows phone and although the phone was good, I was unhappy with the difference...

Good at the beginning

I got it in late 2014 but since last year, things started going a little bad, screen flickers yellow (amoled something wrong) back battery cover is sticky with weird residue coming out and paint starting to peel (silver corners) battery port cover also broke...

great features

I love the design of the phone however touchwize is sometimes laggy. But the super amo-led screen is incredible compared to a device such as an iPhone. Still even now i'm not quite sure whether I'm a fan of the dimpled design of the back panel, part of me thinks to rugged look, but i did try and...

I got the white s5 and it is a really beautiful phone, though it looks the same as the s4, it has easy grip and it's abit bigger. The screen is really nice and it is my first phone from the Samsung Galaxy series, and I am happy with it.

beautiful screen

pricey; quite big for females
