Samsung Galaxy S5 Review

Samsung cannot be ignored, and the importance of the Galaxy S5 cannot be overlooked. New bearer of the crown of "best-known Android smartphone" it's a chance not only for Samsung to make money, but to demonstrate what cleverness it can bake into a flagship device.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is officially retailing in India for Rs 51,500 (Around USD 880-885), but is already being sold at lower prices by some retailers (like Amazon and Flipkart ) – some going all the way down to Rs 39,990 (About USD 685-90).

Good looking and fun to use

Moved to the S5 from an Evo. Like a leap forward in technology. Only one thing is inconvenient - volume and on/off buttons are across from each other so when I power off I also change the phone volume unless I am careful.

Easy To Set Up; Easy To Use; Quality Construction

Off And Volume Ctrls

Samsung Galaxy S5 review

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is likely to be one of the best selling devices of 2014. It is the successor to the incredibly successful Galaxy S4 that, despite the attempts of HTC, Sony Mobile and LG, sold by the truckload.

Great display; good camera performance; fast connectivity; software makes good use of larger display; reasonable battery life

Plastic build; navigation of the user interface feels slower than it should be

great features

I love the design of the phone however touchwize is sometimes laggy. But the super amo-led screen is incredible compared to a device such as an iPhone. Still even now i'm not quite sure whether I'm a fan of the dimpled design of the back panel, part of me thinks to rugged look, but i did try and...

Flagship (mostly) fantastic: Samsung's Galaxy S5 reviewed

Samsung's fifth Galaxy model is here, and poised to take on whatever Apple has next, as well as anything else from the other manufacturers. For the new model, Samsung has revised the look, the hardware, and so much more. Is this Samsung's best phone yet

Fast system performance; Textured back makes it easy to grip; Beautiful screen; Excellent 4G performance; Water and dust resistant; Still features a remote control; Built-in heart rate monitor is a neat idea; Amazing screen that works beautifully in direct sunlight; Monochromatic power saving option...

Australians are given virtually no control over customizing their handset; Battery life needs work; The occasional slow down tends to rear its head in the worst possible way; Remote control can't learn from unknown remotes; My Magazine seems less customisable than HTC's BlinkFeed

"Probably the BEST Galaxy S smartphone from Samsung so far!"

What a major jump from my Galaxy S3! Samsung's Galaxy S5 is such a beast that the smartphone has features that you want to use for your daily lives. The best bits from the Galaxy S5: Highly recommended this as your replacement for your outdated mobile phone or for new smartphone users. ^_^

Samsung Galaxy S5 Review

For the past four years Samsung's Galaxy S series has been the pinnacle of the company's extensive smartphone range and formidable competition to the likes of Apple, HTC and Sony. The Galaxy S5 raises the bar still further with more power and a 16.0 megapixel camera capable of image quality to rival...

Very good image quality; Spritely performance; Stunning screen; Water and dust proof; High resolution panoramas; Great battery life; 4K Ultra HD video capability; MicroSD slot

Slippery; uninspiring case design; Lacks optical image stabilisation; Underwhelming macro ability; No optical zoom

Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport review: A more stylish Galaxy S5 for Sprint subscribers

What's the difference between the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sprint's exclusive Galaxy S5 Sport? Mostly the bright blue or red paint job; the slightly rubberized design with physical rather than touch-sensitive controls; and preloaded fitness-related apps, like Sprint Fit Live, that wrap in some limited-time subscriptions to various services.

Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport inches ahead of the original S5 by combining identical performance in a slightly more polished package.

Samsung's Galaxy S5 Sport has a grippy backing and responsive physical controls, and it comes in vibrant colors. It has nearly all of the Samsung Galaxy S5's software and specs.

Data is slow if you aren't in Sprint's LTE data footprint. The Sport lacks the convenience key of AT&T's S5 Active. A mountain of preloaded apps makes setup a drag.

Very fragile

The worst smartphone to buy with such an expensive priceline. The reason lies within its strength.I had one.It fell from a height of 2 and a half feet flat on its screen and SNAP!!!,the display of the phone cracked and the display went out.what was happening i said?the phone broke?
