Overall the Galaxy S20 FE is a fantastic smartphone and, at $699, it is easily one of the best values available today.

Samsung’s Galaxy S20 FE 5G was a really interesting smartphone to me. For the price, I was deeply, deeply unimpressed with the regular Galaxy S20 line in Malaysia because of the sub-par performance from the Exynos 990 processor and measly 128GB of internal storage.

The Galaxy S20 FE is much more than a Fan Edition, it’s the phone that Samsung needed for 2020. The prices of the flagship phones has grown out of control, combine that with a worldwide pandemic, and it was clear something needed to be done.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) is the budget-conscious option in Samsung’s latest S20 smartphone line. It features a large 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 2.73 GHz octa-core processor.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is a rarefied blend of performance, value and sound design that combines the excellent Snapdragon 865 processor, a 120Hz display, a great set of cameras and excellent battery life in an incredibly comprehensive package. This is one of the best Android phones of 2020.

Though the switch to glasstic is a bit of a disappointment, there's a lot to love about the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE - including the Snapdragon 865, a first for UK fans, and a gorgeous 6.5in 120Hz AMOLED display.

The high points are undoubtedly the refresh rate, chipset, and cameras, but most other aspects impress too. Really the only significant issue is the phone’s largely plastic build – which at this price isn’t really acceptable, but when it’s allowed for so much tech to be packed in it’s a lot more...
