Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus 128GB - Prism Black PH-SAM-S10P-128-BK review

While I am personally a Samsung Galaxy Note and S Pen fan , after nearly two weeks with the new Galaxy S10 Plus there is a lot to like in this 10th anniversary phone that has me very excited for the Note 10 later this year.

Gorgeous display; Long battery life; Capable triple rear cameras; microSD; 3.5mm headset jack; wireless charging; Ability to charge other gear wirelessly; Excellent RF reception and call quality

Fingerprint scanner not as fast as capacitive methods; Occasional inadvertent screen presses

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus 128GB - Prism Black PH-SAM-S10P-128-BK review

Samsung's Galaxy S10+ is packed to the gills with features, and while all of the new stuff is cool, they could use improvement.

Samsung Galaxy S10 review

Is the S10 the most powerful smartphone around? Does it have the very best screen? Can it last the longest between charges? We're used to Samsung setting the gold standard for Android, so it's hard to believe the answer to all those questions is "no". Keen photographers will get excellent results (especially in low light) from a Google Pixel 3, or the Huawei P30 Pro. Plus, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and P30 Pro have even greater stamina. A OnePlus 6T is much better value. But the S10 is an incredibly well-rounded Android on every other front. Handset prices have been creeping ever higher over the past few years, and £800 SIM-free is mighty pricey, but it does undercut the Apple iPhone XS by £200 and feels mo. That amount does mean it exists in a strange sort of middle ground, with the S10+ boasting a bigger screen and longer-lasting battery for only a little more cash, and the S10e being much more affordable with only a few minor concessions. Still, if you've got to have the best Samsung and arguably the best Android, yet don't see the point in twin selfie cameras or ridiculous zooming capabilities, the S10 is pretty much all the phone you'd ever need.

Truly versatile three-lens camera; Gorgeous display and top-notch performance; Feature-packed in ways few rivals can match;

In-display finger scanner not perfect; Not the best battery life; Price hike makes the S10e a tempting alternative;

Samsung Galaxy S10 review

The Galaxy S10 is a fitting 10th anniversary phone for Samsung and its storied S series. It delivers on change with a novel-looking Infinity-O screen so large it displaces the front camera, and a triple-lens rear camera that takes ultra-wide photos. Its in-screen fingerprint sensor tech should serve you well, while its Wireless PowerShare could serve your friends well. That’s a lot of change – just know that it comes at a high price and the Galaxy S10e and S10 Plus flank it from both sides of the coin as better options.

High screen-to-body ratio; In-screen fingerprint sensor; Wireless PowerShare perk;

Stunning price hike; S10e and S10 Plus are better; Great camera, but not the best

Galaxy S10 review: Don't abandon Samsung's 2019 flagship just yet

The poor Galaxy S10 always suffered from middle-child syndrome. Being sandwiched between the larger, more lavishly appointed Galaxy S10 Plus and the smaller, pluckier, far cheaper Galaxy S10E was never easy. In fact, I wondered more than once why it even existed, other than to suddenly look like a deal during promotional sales.

The Galaxy S10 is still a terrific phone, even after it's been outclassed by the next generation. For some, it'll be a smarter buy now than it was in 2019.

Sharp screen; Long battery life; Noteworthy camera quality; Wirelessly charges other devices;

In-screen fingerprint reader is hit or miss; Lacks the distinction of S10 Plus and S10E;

A good phone for a good price.

This phone is great :) I purchased it for myself as an early birthday present and I am very happy with it. It has an awesome camera, a decent sized screen, and it is not as expensive as some of the more recent models. The only downside I've experienced is the battery not lasting as long as I expected.
