Launching around the globe a few days ahead of the world's largest mobile show was the ultimate big-dog move. Samsung celebrated the 10th anniversary of its flagship phone line by launching its latest device on Apple's sometimes-stomping grounds at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Center.

Samsung's Galaxy S-Class has been providing the world with outstanding smartphones for ten years now and comes in a pack of four for its special birthday. But of course the classic pair of Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus are still the center of attention.

After the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series in San Francisco last February 20, 2019, we were handed units so we can experience the latest flagship device of the Korean brand for ourselves. I happily took it around the city and used it as my main shooter. It did not disappoint.

. But with the reveal of the Galaxy S10 lineup, Samsung appears to have gone for a proper step up from the Galaxy S9. Much like the past several generations of Galaxy phones, there are two handsets to pick from; the standard S10 and the larger S10+.

Samsung released its Galaxy S range of smartphones this year and the Galaxy S10+ is its top-of-the-line product featuring a 6.4-inch Infinity-O display with a cutout for dual cameras, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and triple cameras on the back.

The Galaxy S10+ comes with triple rear cameras. Out of the three, one sensor comes with an ultra wide angle lens. For selfies and video calling, there is a dual camera setup on the front.

The smartphone space is a bit perplexing these days. The long-standing definition of Android flagship smartphones has changed somewhat. The traditional flagship Android phones as we knew them all along, now have competition from those that called themselves ‘flagship killers' till a few years ago,...

The Galaxy Fold may have dominated the headlines this year but Samsung's marketable device for now is the Galaxy S10. Officially launched in India, the Galaxy S10 Plus is the yearly update to Samsung's flagship devices.

It's something of a perfect coincidence that Samsung's Galaxy S10+ goes on sale the same day Captain Marvel lands in theaters. Both were once the most powerful members of their respective universes. Both are struggling with an identity crisis spurred by a larger-than-life existential threat.

Samsung launches new flagship Galaxy S models at the start of every year. This year, a lot was expected from the Korean manufacturer, especially as we were eager to see what design direction it would take.
