Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Review

The latest flagship Samsung smartphones, the S10 and the S10 Plus, were announced in early 2019. The S10 and the S10 Plus share very similar camera specifications, so for the purposes of this review, we will be concentrating on the S10 Plus.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus review

The S10 Plus is the best Galaxy phone ever made, but Samsung's Exynos version reviewed here has less than exemplary battery life. Here's our full review.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Review

While the Samsung Galaxy S10 doesn't excel in any one specific area, the collective package makes for an incredibly capable offering – which I'm sure was Samsung's aim in the first place. It sports a stunning OLED screen, versatile camera and a number of enticing new features. It's a great phone.

Smaller than lots of other flagships, without sacrificing features; Versatile camera that reliably takes excellent pictures; A lovely screen that’s fantastic for video;

One UI is full of bloatware; Battery life is middling;

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Review

If the camera is the priority for you then I’d still recommend the Pixel 3. However, for everything else the Galaxy S10 Plus is king. It has the best screen, it looks downright stunning, and offers generous storage, RAM and plenty of customisations. Once again, Samsung has managed to tick all the boxes - what more could you want?

Fantastic screen; Barely any feature sacrificed; Ultrasonic fingerprint is a huge improvement over optical versions; Three cameras give amazing versatility;

Battery life (on the Exynos version) isn’t as good as expected; Main camera isn’t as reliably excellent as the Pixel 3 or IPhone XS;

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus review: Killer cameras and battery life might meet their match in the Note 10

I've been using the Galaxy S10 Plus ($312 at Amazon) every day since Samsung launched the phone four months ago as one of its flagship models for 2019. Despite the threat of being overshadowed by the foldable Galaxy Fold and the faster Galaxy S10 5G (and being knocked out from below by the value-buy Galaxy S10E), the Galaxy S10 Plus has hung on as one of the top Android phones of the year. Soon, the S10 Plus' best virtues -- its sharp screen, three top-notch cameras and all-day battery life -- will face another challenge from within Samsung's ranks, the upcoming Galaxy Note 10, which is all but confirmed to launch Aug. 7 in New York.

The Galaxy S10 Plus is an outstanding phone for 2019, although serious photographers will find its nighttime camera shots lacking. Competition, including from the upcoming Galaxy Note 10, is mounting.

The Galaxy S10 Plus has a phenomenal AMOLED screen, monster battery life and loads of useful camera tools. The option to wirelessly charge another device is convenient and really works.

Nighttime and low-light shots on the Galaxy S10 Plus aren't as clear or crisp as dedicated night modes on the Pixel 3 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint reader isn't always fast or accurate. Mispresses on the curved, edge-to-edge display are a minor annoyance.

The Galaxy S10+ is exactly what you'd expect out of Samsung's tenth flagship handset. After all, the company's been making these for a decade, and knows what works. The S10+ is a winning mix of powerful performance, long-lasting battery, stunning display and capable cameras.

Excellent battery life; One UI is a welcome refresh; Surprisingly helpful Bixby Routines; Big; beautiful HDR10+ display; Versatile triple camera setup

AR emoji are unrecognizable; Low light shots are subpar

Samsung Galaxy S10+ Review – The Pinnacle Smartphone Redefined

Samsung has stepped up its game from the Galaxy Note 9 to the Galaxy S10 range , specifically the S10+, all within a timeframe of around five months between the two announcement dates.

Brilliant display; Edge-to-Edge screen; Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor; Reverse wireless charge; Battery life; Feature-rich

Increased price; Accidental palm touch; Slightly sluggish reverse charge

Samsung Galaxy S10+ review: It's the same but different in great ways

So we know the Samsung Galaxy S10+ has been out for a bit now but really, this review isn't that late. Unfortunately, we didn't make it out to Unpacked in San Francisco so we also didn't get a review unit that day either.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Exynos

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is the higher variant of the Galaxy S10 . This unit comes with larger 6.4-inch quad-HD+ display covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Aside the display, another distinguishing aspect of the Galaxy S10+ is the use of a dual front facing camera, hidden in the little awkward...
