Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review: one for the fans

A year ago, I wrote that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was the best big phone ever made. It had excellent performance, a great camera, and a refined design that was surprisingly manageable for a device with a large screen.

Lovely display; Fast performance; Reliable battery life; Excellent standard camera

It's enormous; It's expensive; Secondary camera is far inferior to main camera; Terrible fingerprint scanner placement

Samsung Galaxy Note8 Smartphone

This phone looks spectacular. The shape is the oblong with curved edges we expect from a mobile phone, with a sleek, slick back which is also composed...

Lovely design and build quality; Impressive dual camera; Excellent display; Good performance; Plenty of useful features

Location of fingerprint sensor; Very expensive

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (64GB, Black) - Excellent review

Samsung’s biggest flagship yet could also be their greatest phone yet, coming in with a feature list that’s a mile long, and a hefty price tag to boot. Retailing at launch for €999/$929/£869, orYou’ll find an upgrade to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, as well as dedicated UFS 2.1 grade internal storage offered...

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (64GB, Black) - Excellent review

Samsung Note series has always been the company’s true flagship, offering some unique features which even the S series didn’t have. The Note 8 is no different. It packs in an even bigger screen, an improved S-Pen and dual cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 takes everything that was great about last year's Note7 and simply improves upon it in all the right ways but with a bigger Galaxy Note came a bigger price and consumers may have to contemplate even harder before pulling the trigger this time around.

Premium glass and metal build Gorgeous and large display improved S Pen features Excellent camera quality microSD expansion IP68 certified Fluid performance

Most expensive Galaxy Note to date Phone is very tall Fingerprint sensor still awkwardly located

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is an enhanced version of the S8+. Even thicker and heavier, it's a massive phone and won't be suitable for everyone. But it offers the same incredible curved AMOLED display and top-end specs as the S8+, plus an S Pen, dual lens camera, iris scanner and 6GB of RAM, making...

The best Android phone so far !

Screen - This 2k screen is very good. Very crisp and vibrant .The maximum brightness level is very good. Its dual edge screen makes the phone looks less wide. The size of screen is 6.3 in diagonally. Build Quality- Very good. In par with The IPhone 7 (and possibly iPhone X) and Google Pixel phone.

Really good building quality, big but good in hand. The design is a bit better than the S8 as the display does not curve as much at the edges. I can not find much to complain about, except maybe the price. Definitely worth it if you come from any old dock. Offscreen memo is smooth.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 review (day 5)

The minute I powered on the Samsung Galaxy Note8 and started using it, I felt the urge to ditch my iPhone 7 Plus and go running back to Android. But am I still feeling that way after using it as my primary device for the past 5 days?

Very nice camera; Great display and I love the always-on feature; S Pen is handy

Expensive

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

After a tricky year and a few lessons learned, the Note 8 is back to winning ways

Large; bright screen; Well built; Decent audio; with hi-res support; Great cameras; S Pen functionality is well integrated

Battery life could be better; Very expensive
