Great over all mic for the price

This mic was the first mic I ever bought. 6 years later I still turn to this mic to give me the sound I'm looking for. Don't be fooled by the price tag. This mic is the quietest mic on the market and will provide you with exceptional quality.

Officially the best mic in it's price range.

This mic from RODE is guaranteed not to disappoint you. It has a budget price but this doesn't affect the sound quality.

very good sound; high bang for the buck value; low noise

cheap accessories; no bells and whistles

My go to mic for almost everything!!!

The Rode NT1-A is a cardioid-pattern, large-diaphragm condenser mic. It is probably the quietest mic you can buy for a measly 350 dollars. It boast an impressive signal input noise of just 5 DB, better than many professional quality condenser mics.

Great mic for a home studio. the bundle is just great with a good shock mount and pop shield attached to it making it easier to hold in place. totally recommend.

i have had this mic for a couple of years and have used it to record pretty much everything; although its particularly good on vocals. the dynamics are sometimes a little wobbly, with big peaks appearing from nowhere. solid build. solid cradle.

The Rode NT1A is a large diaphragm condenser microphone which was designed and made in Australia. The original Rode NT1 was released in 1991. The company released the NT1A model in 2003, and have continued to manufacture it since. The NT1A looks fairly similar to the original NT1, although [...]

Detailed sound Very low self-noise Well suited to vocals and acoustic instruments Good results for the price

Highs can be harsh Included pop filter is low quality

Rode NT1-A review

The Rode NT1-A is still a best seller for a reason. If you're looking for a good condenser mic to record vocals, this is a good choice whether you're upgrading to your first XLR microphone or replacing an old one in your studio.

Cardioid polar pattern; Flat frequency response; Premium all-metal build quality; Low self-noise at just 5dB; Decently priced

Sibilance issues mean you'll need a decent pop-filter; Requires another device to provide phantom power; Heavy due to all-metal body
