Razer Nari Ultimate review: This haptics-enabled gaming headset lets you literally feel the groove

Incredibly comfortable and aided by cooling gel in the ear cups, the Razer Nari Ultimate is a haptics-enabled headset that doesn't feel like a one-off...

Haptics are sophisticated enough to justify their inclusion; Extremely comfortable; Cooling gel in the earcups is a nifty trick

Cooling gel warms up too quickly; Tying haptics intensity to volume is a bizarre move; $200 price a bit steep

HyperSense haptic technology is amazing; Can be customised; THX Spatial Audio support; Short recharge time

Auto-adjusting headband is a poor fit for smaller heads; Earcups are difficult to clean

Razer Nari Ultimate review: A sub on your ears

An experience, for sure.

For years, gamers have been seeking ways to feel more connected to their games. The games industry has met that desire with force feedback controllers, flashing lights that synch up with on-screen action and even fans that blow air to simulate movement.

Review: Razer Nari Ultimate headphones shakes up the competition - literally

Haptic feedback has been a part of console gaming for so long that it almost feels as if PC gamers are missing out. We've seen some attempts with gaming mice but Razer have opted for a different approach: headphones.

Very vomfortavle with glasses.

The only complaint I have on these headphones is that the microphone picks up the sound from the headset. The hypersense vibration on lowest setting carries thru to the Mic. Outside of this issue this product is worth the price.

Razer Nari Ultimate

All good inventions came from those brave enough to step out of the mold, to break from the norm and develop something that us regular folk thought we didn't need.

Solid soundstage; All connectivity catered for; Plug and Play; Comfortable

Love/Hate relationship with vibrations; An expensive investment

Razer Nari Ultimate Headset Review

Immersion is what we're all looking for in video games, and while game developers strive to make worlds, narratives and gameplay experiences that draw you in deeper than ever before, there's ways that you can give them a leg up.

Haptic sensors are a game changer; Clear; powerful audio; Exceptionally comfortable; Great usability

Haptics don't help less intense games; No physical control for haptics; USB dongle is very small
