Razer Blade Stealth 13 (Late 2019) Review
The Razer Blade Stealth was originally introduced as a non-gaming alternative for those who liked the design, but not the size, of other Blade laptops. As time has passed, though, gamer-friendly features, like beefier graphics options, have started to work their way into this line. Now, with the late-2019 version of the Blade Stealth 13, graphics are core to the line. Only the $1,499 starting model lacks discrete graphics, while our $1,799 review unit includes an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. That's a rare inclusion for a 13-inch laptop. Add in a premium build, long battery life, and Intel's newest Ice Lake processor, and the new Blade Stealth positions itself an appealing hybrid of an ultraportable and a genuine gaming laptop. It's not the best pure ultraportable (our pick is the Dell XPS 13) or gaming laptop (the Razer Blade 15), but it may just be the best of both worlds.
The 13-Inch Ultraportable Meets Gaming
There have been refinements of the Stealth's design over the years...
Combining the 13-inch Razer Blade Stealth with a gaming-ready GPU makes for a very appealing hybrid of sleek ultraportable and capable gaming laptop. There's nothing else quite like it on the market right now.
Thin 13-inch laptop genuinely capable of 1080p gaming; Premium construction, including top-notch touchpad; Admirably quiet while gaming; Good battery life; USB-C with Thunderbolt 3 support
Premium price; Not the fastest on CPU-intensive media tasks
