PlayStation 5 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 9825593 review

This is a superb return for everybody's favourite Lombax and his robot chum. It's also a showcase for what the PlayStation 5 is capable of doing, with stunning ray-traced graphics and (almost) zero loading times - even when hopping between dimensions.

Most stunning use of PS5 tech yet, Best high dynamic range (HDR) performance out there, Clever dimension-hopping gameplay, Great fun from start to finish

Standard enemy types can get repetitive, Entire campaign might be a little short for some

PlayStation 5 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 9825593 review

Consistently fun and incredible to look at, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a must-have for your PS5 library

Takes full advantage of the PS5 hardware, Typically imaginative weapons, Packed with charm and screwball humour

Enemy types get a bit repetitive, Glitch mini-game is less enjoyable

Since its reveal last June, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has been one of 2021’s most anticipated titles—and with good reason. It resurrects one of gaming’s longest-running series, and serves as a showcase for the PlayStation 5's power. Insomniac Games’ newest title encapsulates the next-gen experience thanks to its stellar presentation, immersive haptic feedback controls, and blazing-fast load times. PlayStation 5 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 9825593 review

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is my favourite game in the series and despite its length, is still an amazing showcase of what the PS5, 3D Audio and the DualSense are capable of. Insomniac have really outdone themselves with this entry and I hope we get to see more of not only the main duo, but also...
