Great product, lives up to it's promise

I was a bit sceptical of this product and it's ability to cook good tasting food with little or no oil - I was not disappointed! The 'fryer' in the title is a bit deceptive as this product is more akin to cooking food in a microwave or an oven. My first experience was to make homemade potato wedges. They turned out a treat (I followed the french fries recipe it comes with) and were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside using just a few squirts of spray oil and were very tasty. It's a really easy to use product and much faster than cooking with an oven, can see a lot of potential with this gadget, would be brilliant for families.

Great results from a good design and easy to use.

When I ordered this product I suspected that I may have bought something that may be a gimmick. Far from that I discovered that this is one of the best tools in my kitchen. It cooks with rapidly moving hot air and little or no oil. I made scotch eggs using pork and black pudding sausage meat. I used breadcrumb and oatmeal for the coating. Each being the size of a tennis ball, I placed three eggs in the basket and cooked them on 180 deg. I was able to shake them in the basket occasionally and the results were lovely. This is not a frier but a mini turbo fan oven with a system to collect excess fat produced from cooking. I love it.

Crispy without the fat and mess

Bought this to fry chips, wings, and other side dishes that I would not make previously due to the mess and hassle of large deep fryers and the health issues. We have cooked many frozen items but have yet to venture into whole chooks. Had mixed success with frozen items - which you have to shake mid-way to ensure you get the best results. Also, do not overfill the fryer as you'll end up with things stuck together. Overall, I'm happy.

Efficient and Beautiful Air Fryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the moment I received Philips the air fryer, I've been smitten. The size is perfect for a family of three adults with a good appetite! I've made some perfectly crunchy pita chips, some roast chicken and a LOT of French fries, both frozen and fresh, and each time the results have been perfect. I also loved the recipe book and instructions to better understand how to use the machine. I can't recommend the product highly enough, give it 10/10 and a must have for anyone looking to reduce the amount of oil in their diet!

A game changer

A quick and healthy way or making your favourite 'fried' dishes. A favourite in our household is chicken, roast potatoes, warming our bread rolls to make them bakery crusty and making melt in middle cookies!

Philips Airfryer XXL Digital HD9650/93 review

Philips Airfryer XXL makes frying food hassle-free and healthier than any traditional oil-filled appliance. It's quick, efficient and the super-sized model can accommodate just about anything compared to the smaller, more basic Philips Airfryers (of which there are many). It's a monster!

Really good, yet healthy, frying, Quality fit and finish, and easy to clean, You can fit an entire damn chicken in it!

On the large side, clearly
