Great features and make good pasta

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is pretty handy to have Especially if you have special dietary which suits us as we go for gluten free diet. Very efficient to run and in 3 mins you have freshly made pasta. The only down sides are the instructions are quite confusing as they are scattered all over the place, one in the box and 2 different booklets so I had to goto different booklets to get the machine up and running. The other down side is I find it really hard to clean the discs and took me awhile to scrap the flour off once dry. Maybe I didn’t do it correctly but I think it was the only direction given in the booklet.

Nice to make fresh pasta

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a good machine. Not too bulky and can easily fit on the bench. Great that it has a storage compartment for the attachments. The machine mixes the mixture well and it’s easy to add the liquid. It pushed out the mixture well but we found that it only pushed out half of the mixture and took a while for it to push the other half out. Sometimes we had to stop the machine and help the mixture get to the area for it to be pushed out. It was also a bit hard to clean. The bowl, lid and arm were easy to clean. The pasta attachments took longer to clean. The cleaning tool only helped to a degree then we had to soak the attachments to clean them properly.

Fantastic helper in the kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have previously made fresh pasta using the rolling method. The pasta turned out great but was so messy and labour-intensive that I put the roller away and never bothered with it again. I purchased the Philips pasta maker to inspire me to get back to making fresh pasta and noodles. I've now owned it for a month and a half, and I am very happy with the machine's performance, ease of use, and of course the pasta it produces. The difference in taste and texture is incredible, especially in lighter/creamy sauces. I have since invested in the Chinese egg noodle attachment!

So simple to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unlike manual noodle makers which take a fair amount of effort to prepare dough and then press noodles, the Philips noodle maker is a far more practical solution for everyday use - simply throw the flour in, add water and watch the magic happen! Nothing beats having fresh noodles on demand and without any of the nasty things the mass-produced versions contain. One thing to note - the noodle maker comes with a number of moulds that allow you to press differently shaped noodles, pasta and sheets, but we've only really had success with using it as a noodle/spaghetti maker. That's perfectly fine for us but may disappoint those trying to make fancier things.

No Fuss - No mess

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is very easy to use. Just add flour, egg and water, press the button and it virtually does the rest. The pasta is good quality, tastes great and gives you authentic fresh pasta. You can have fun experimenting with differences in the mixture to produce unique results. Pasta this way is very low in cost to make. We particularly like the way the machine easily dismantles for cleaning and we love the fact that you just don't get flour everywhere as you do with traditional pasta machines.
