Olympus OM-D E-M5 is the latest in the flagship Micro Four Thirds Camera series. First of its kind, E-M5 is a classically styled DSLR version of camera, which has replaced the film with imaging system unlike its predecessors.

It has a compact body and is fully weather sealed; Crisp LCD EVF; Articulating rear display; Sharp kit lens; Very good image quality; even at high ISO; Good level of direct control despite small body; Fast autofocus; Bright; punchy JPEGs make the most of camera's capability; Good selection of Micro...

External flash; Lacks a standard mic input; Focus tracking distinctly unreliable; Several useful features hidden in obscure and confusingly-named menu options; No warning given that focus is locked during high-speed shooting

Review: Olympus OM-D E-M5

The latest micro four-thirds camera from Olympus is clearly designed to appeal to all those hoary, wizened photographers who long for the good ol' days. Olympus' new digital OM series is modeled after the company's original, beloved OM film cameras from the 1970s.

Compact, relatively light magnesium body; Both the body and the 12-50mm kit lens are weather-sealed; Fun, creative art filters for in-camera experimentation; A wide array of available lenses; Super-comfortable and almost-indispensable grip attachment

No built-in pop-up flash; Can't change exposure settings while shooting video; Shallow eye cup diminishes the EVF's effectiveness in bright outdoor situations

Olympus OM-D EM-5

One of the best compact system cameras to date, but there are some weaker areas that we'd struggle to accept at this price

Olympus OM-D E-M5 Review

Olympus definitely has a winner on its hand with this mirrorless ILC. It has a great set of features, a dedicated electronic viewfinder - which is a boon, great ergonomics, beautiful image quality, impressive low light performance among other things. It is priced at a whopping Rs.

Dedicated electronic viewfinder; Great ergonomics; Beautiful image quality; Impressive low light performance

Expensive

Olympus OM-D E-M5

Olympus raises the bar for compact system cameras, but this capable all-rounder fails to shine in the company of upmarket DSLRs

A very nice camera bag!

I hesitated strongly for a long time before I purchased this camera bag. Why Because of the inconsistant reviews written about it. I to enjoy purchasing the finest of thing's as most do,however it is obvious to me that some expect much more for less.

Olympus E-M5

Resurrecting a popular design from its past proves fruitful for Olympus: Not only does the Olympus OM-D E-M5 look great, it takes great pictures, meeting or exceeding the quality of some pretty surprising competitors.

Attractive body design; Well-built, weather-sealed body; Excellent image quality; Excellent image stabilization; Very fast autofocus, Appealing body design, Smaller camera is easy to hold and quite small, Battery grip makes the E-M5 feel like a tiny professional camera, EVF works well, Tilting OLED...

Exposure compensation dial changes easily; Small buttons; No in-camera chromatic aberration correction; Bundled flash is weak; Video compression artifacts with rapidly-moving subjects, Odd power switch location, Exposure compensation dial changes easily, can't be turned off, Small buttons, EVF...

Olympus OM-D E-M5 Micro Four Thirds camera review

Olympus's OM-D E-M5 is the company's best camera yet, but battery meter and focusing issues may be a dealbreaker for some.

Incredibly fast autofocus; 5-axis image stabilization; Manual/auto-zoom kit lens

Expensive; Battery meter issues at launch; Poor focus accuracy in low-contrast scenes

Olympus OM-D E-M5 Digital Camera Review

It hasn't taken Olympus long to speed into our hearts with their retro-inspired compact system camera lineup. The Micro Four Thirds PEN series was well-received not only for its style, but its image quality and usability.

Incredibly fast autofocus; Shot-to-shot speed that touches 10+ FPS; Durable; weather-sealed body keeps out moisture and dust

Sensor is improved; but dynamic range lags behind best in the class
