Faulty hardware; overheating; left joycon; Nintendo support
Nintendo is selling a promise With the Switch, Nintendo is essentially selling a $400 promise. The console has issues, including what will likely be an underpowered processor, a possible lack of third-party support - though Nintendo claims to have 50 developers and publishers on board with the...
Handheld-home console hybrid is compelling; Build quality is impressive; The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is amazing
Launch titles are not great; It's expensive at $400 CAD; Battery life is less than stellar
As it is with every product that Nintendo launches ( NES Mini , anyone), there was a lot of hype around the launch of the Nintendo Switch ( $299 at Best Buy, $299 at Amazon). Fans and reviewers alike were excited to get their hands on this new console that came with a dock for playing on the TV,...
Portable gaming solution; Amazing TV Mode; Tactile buttons and decent touch screen; Responsive UI; Amazing Joy-Con battery life; microSD support (upto 2TB!
TV Mode; Display quality is mediocre; Weak kickstand; Mediocre battery life from the console; No Bluetooth headphone support; Only 32GB internal memory
I have something of a love/hate relationship with Nintendo consoles, especially in recent years. While I grew up with consoles like the Super NES, Nintendo 64, and Gamecube, in the time since then my preference has shifted to Nintendo's handhelds like the DS and the 3DS.
Nintendo's dream of hybrid gaming fully realized; Truly exciting hardware that stands out from the rest; Fairly solid launch lineup; especially with Zelda
Accessories are far too expensive; Online systems still need a lot of work; Launch feels rushed in general
Nintendo's Switch comes out on Friday. I've been playing with the Switch -an all-in-one gaming machine that works as both a handheld device and a TV game console-for the last two weeks.
Gaming anywhere you want. Joy-Cons are marvelous, versatile controllers. Amazing graphic quality from a relatively small tablet; Not as powerful as a PS4, but Nintendo got out of that game a decade ago. Sleek UI. Region-free game shopping is the best
Left Joy-Con's wireless connection is flaky; Can't charge controllers while playing on TV; Can't charge the tablet in kickstand mode; Online functionality is bare-bones; EXPIRED: Goddamned Friend Codes again
is a compelling purchase. A revision will ultimately fix some of the design complaints, but you could be waiting a while.
Nintendo does things differently. First came the Wii's motion controllers, then Wii U's tablet-style GamePad. Now the Nintendo Switch delivers a portable and home console in one that works well wherever you want to play on the go as well as at home.
Incredibly easy to use; Gaming wherever you want; The Joy-Con controllers are packed with tech; Bright and colourful screen
Accessories are very expensive; Games cost more than on other platforms
32k for this console is the best deal u will ever get in India. Those who state US prices and option of importing have never really imported anything in their lives. Imprt duties 10800 and shipping dhl 4500, do the math. Secondly, with games u do not need to worry if u go digital.
