A super compact and versatile all-round lens suited for entry-level and professional. Highly recommended.

The lens is great for using at sports events and for taking macro pictures. It takes amazing focused pictures as well. The only thing bad about this lens is that it is very hard to focus.

have been using the 55-300 along with my standard 18-55mm Nikkor, and must say its a very good combo. I have used it for some wildlife photography and the results are definitely more than satisfactory. Its an awesome lens and there is no 2nd thoughts about it. The VR too is a must have, as per me.

I love this lense, for landscapes and architecture and those large group portraits this is The Lense. Also great lense if you like doing astrophotography. Its heavy but dont let that put you off, quality lenses are heavy, its all in the build.

This Nikon AF-S 55-300mm is great value if you don't want to spend too much on a telephoto lens. It can be purchased as part of a twin lens camera package or sold separately. The advantage this lens has over the 55-200mm is the extra zoom which comes in handy for family members playing sport, travel...

Being new to DSLR camera use; I find the lens easy to use and the quality of the photos are very good

Nikon's zoom manages to provide a reasonable 5.5x zoom range. It also has the added benefit of coming complete with a protective carrying pouch. Nikon's layout follows the common arrangement, with a narrow focusing ring at the front of the lens and a wide zoom ring behind it.
