I use us for the past one week, take around 50 Pics, so I am unable to write an in-depth review. But based on my quick feel, I found the lens is a master piece, especially for Portraits indoor. I strongly recommed this.

Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G Review

Most of the headline claims for the Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G relate to its focusing system, which is of course key to the performance of any AF lens. The other obvious specification of note is the prime's f/1.8 maximum aperture, which is a marginal improvement over the f/2 that was common in...

This is a very useful lens with its brightness and optical quality. The 35mm is much more useful on Dx format than the 50mm according to my liking. Highly recommended !See in more detail at:http://oldshutterhand.com/equipment-reviews/nikon-35-1-8/http://oldshutterhand.com/nikon-lenses/

I would say for this lens in Nikon system as a "Must have" if you have a budget for it and like to shoot low light and indoors; Would be happy if Canon can offer something similar; Very sharp even wide open; 35mm f1.8 Dx I don't think is a micro

Build quality not up to pro standards; but for this price no complain

Small, Sharp, Fast

For it's size, weight and price, those shooting on APS-C Nikon DSLR's should be carrying one of these lenses along with them in their kit. For it's size and weight it produces fantastic image results and is relatively inexpensive as well.

Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f1.8G

The Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f1.8G is a good, fast yet inexpensive 'normal prime' for Nikon DX cameras. Its angle of view is some 2-3 degrees tighter than that of a common 50mm lens mounted to an FX or film body, but that is not a major deviation, and those who liked to use a 'nifty-fifty' on their...

Not what I ordered

I have had my camera for about a year and just really got the hang of playing with it and just realized that I was sent a 50mm lens instead of a 35mm. While I love the lens, I am disappointed in myself for not being knowledgeable enough to catch this at the beginning and frustrated because now I...

Great lens. Great price

I have both this lens and the 50mm. Not sure which on i like better. Great on fx but also works well on dx cameras. Sharp, fast and the bokeh is not too bad at all. The only knock is some tricky distortion. Most can be fix in lightroom.

Outstanding Lens!

I use this lens mostly for portrait, modeling, wedding and live performances in low lit places. For the price it's an incrediable lens. My sister is into photography and she's dying to get one her self. It has definately uped my game and made me realise just what a difference a fast lens can make.
