The battery grip is often in the bag of many pros simply for it's ability to extend the period they can go without recharging. When used with en-el15 batteries the grip can more than double the time spent shooting and recording video.

It will provide you a better handling of the camera, besides giving you the ability to shoot twice the amount of pictures. Regardless of what you would use the camera for, I will find hard to believe one can deplete the power on both batteries.
