Nikon D810 review

The Nikon D810 is a slam-dunk Editors' Choice. Our only serious knock is the price – $5,000 total if you add quality glass – which is serious money and places the DSLR in rarefied company. We can easily see pros and imaging artists taking the plunge.

Superb stills – as rich as 35mm film; High-quality Full HD movies; Excellent build and feel

Expensive; Heavy; bulky; No built-in Wi-Fi

Nikon D810

Nikon's latest DSLR is an impressive revision of their highest-resolution cameras. It looks just like a D800 or D800E except the sensor and processor have both been replaced with state-of-the-art components.

Class-leading retention of details; Very low image-noise; Superb dynamic-range; Very fast autofocus; Extremely responsive; Unmatched image-parameter flexibility; Manual focus assist direction indicator; Excellent weatherproof build quality; Good battery-life

Poor Automatic White-Balance; Inconsistent Live-view; Instant review delay; Bizarre Auto ISO; Asymmetric card slots; EC button placement not ideal; Exposure Delay mode hidden in menu; Sensitive to lens performance

Nikon D810

I bought this a week ago and have not had a chance to use it yet. The box did not contain a manual which should have been in the box, since the box states that it is part of the box.

They deliver the product on the next day. This is the 2nd DSLR is bought on souq.com. It is better to buy DSLR here on souq.com than in the malls. The price difference is very big.

The product is genuine

Smart choice!

Purchased the D810 as a backup for my D750. Now it seems the 750 is destined to be the backup. The 810 is easy to use and operate! Perfect for landscape and gets me in the wilderness every weekend. Allows me to spend less time setting up the camera, and more time shooting in the woods.

False advertising - not new and no warranty

The camera was advertised as new. The box had been opened and there was no warranty card. Also, there were no owners manuals. This is false advertising. It was not new and not a US warranty camera.

Nikon D810 Review

Nikon D810 Review - The Nikon D810 is the manufacturer's latest full frame DSLR, arriving with the promise of the best image quality of any Nikon DSLR ever.

Loss of low pass filter means great detail capture; High resolution; Solid build quality

Pretty bulky and quite heavy; Premium quality comes at a premium price

Nikon's D800 and D800E caused great excitement when they were first announced in February 2012 largely because of their groundbreaking 36 million pixel count. These two full-frame SLR cameras are identical apart from the fact that the D800E's sensor has a weaker anti-aliasing (AA) or optical...

Nikon D810 Review

If you're serious about image quality, especially for large prints, gallery showings and shooting for major publications like Arizona Highways (America's premier journal of the finest contemporary Southwestern photography), the new Nikon D810 replaces every Nikon that has come before it.

Nikon D810 review

The 36.3 megapixel D810 targets both pro photographers needing that maximum resolution for potentially huge enlargements, as well as aspirational advanced photographers who will appreciate a lower price point than the flagship Nikon D4S .

Rock solid construction; Heavyweight features; 36MP resolution sensor

Weight; Nose smudges on LCD
