Quick Review: Nikon D750

2014 was an extremely busy fullframe year for Nikon, releasing three new cameras, including the D810, the D610 (they kind-of had to ) and the D750. Much like their APS-C sized DX range, Nikon's FX full frame range is now starting to offer a bit of everything – if you have the dosh to cross over.

As expected awesome photo quality; High ISO remains usable; Tilt-out screen makes it awesome for videographers

Actually not a lot although price comes to mind

Nikon D750 Review

The D750 is for shooters who demand superior AF performance in all light. The D750 is for travel and adventure shooters who need the lightest possible camera with full-frame Nikon image quality.

Since mid-2012, the Nikon D800E has been my main FX-format DSLR . While it is still an excellent camera even with the updated D810 on the market, I realize that 36MP is often not necessary and I also prefer a faster frame rate and a smaller body for more casual shooting.

Nikon D750 DSLR Review

Great shots of the Middle East. (Plus a couple of Chico State lol... Shasta Hall gave it away) Great review though. I just purchased one. HI Dan, any Idea how I could shoot prores or raw with the d750 at 60 FPS... as far as I could tell none of the Atomos products support anything but 60i..

Nikon D750 Review @ Photoxels

The Nikon D750 is Nikon's newest full-frame DSLR with some of the most desirable features of its higher models. It combines the size and user-friendliness of the DX-format D7100 with the high image quality and performance of the FX-format D810.

The D750 with its great features and impressive still image quality makes for a great package as a DSLR. Although cheaper than the D810, the D750 carry\'s most of its attributes and even betters them to quite some extent. This is a great camera for professionals and enthusiasts.

The Nikon D750 is also the first full frame DSLR to be equipped with built-in Wi-Fi transmission and a tilting screen. These are both features we've become accustomed to on consumer-oriented mirrorless cameras and their inclusion here is a step towards modernizing the DSLR.

Nikon D750 DSLR Body Only D750 BODY review

This is a deep grip camera that captures beautiful images and renders them to the finest detail for sublime texture and smoothness. It also has a tilting screen and intuitive control scheme, making it easier to use.

Large and articulated rear LCD screen; Supreme image quality with built-in flash; Has a great buffer-depth when capturing JPEGs; Outstanding auto-focus performance and is able to work in low-light; Has an excellent battery life that allows it to work for longer periods of time

AF can be very slow and sluggish in live view mode; Default saturation and contrast may be a little too high for some; Maximum continuous shooting range is just 7 frames per second

Nikon D750 DSLR Body Only D750 BODY review

Although we have a few niggles with the Nikon D750 compared to more recent DSLR and mirrorless rivals, it is an excellent camera. It has a professional-level AF system, and is capable of producing superb images even in tricky conditions.

Video-friendly features like zebras; Impressive metering; Pro-level AF system; Twin card slots

Recording is limited to 1080p; Wi-Fi is for remote shooting only; Slow live view AF; Tilting not vari-angle screen
