Nikon Coolpix P900

With its astounding 83x zoom lens, the Nikon Coolpix P900 lets you shoot from literally a mile away. Shaky photos and video aren't a problem, thanks to Nikon's outstanding image stabilization. Handy built-ins include a swiveling LCD screen, eye-level electronic viewfinder, GPS, Wi-Fi and NFC.

Incredible 83x zoom; Rock-steady image stabilization; Full 1080p HD video; Handy swiveling LCD screen and eye-level viewfinder; Built-in GPS; Wi-Fi and NFC

Low-light photos are usable; but not great; Bulky; No RAW image capture

I bought this camera last month, it exceed all my expectations. Loooveeeee the zoom. Then I took photo of the full moon and voila!, I was in heaven. I don't have to crop my photos anymore. it stay as it is, it's original size. Very very happy.

This is a difficult camera to review in a way that makes it clear who it is suitable for. My background is like an amateur photographer for a number of years back. I mostly use a full-format camera which, of course, is in a completely different league.

Nikon's Coolpix P900 is the best way to get detailed photos of the moon

It's all about that lens. There is no way to talk about Nikon's excellent, though occasionally frustrating, Coolpix P900 super zoom camera without first addressing the lens. This wide-angle, telephoto wonder can, at 24mm, pull in a startling amount of visual information.

Mashable Choice highlights the best of everything we cover, have experienced first-hand and would recommend to others. It's all about that lens. There is no way to talk about Nikon's excellent, though occasionally frustrating, Coolpix P900 super zoom camera without first addressing the lens.

Nikon Coolpix P900 Superzoom Camera Review (Full Resolution Test Images)

I've often wished I had a camera that could go from 24mm to 2000mm at the touch of a button and without being weighed down by a ton of glass. Okay, maybe not all the way to 2000mm and perhaps not in a power zoom, but you get my point. The Nikon Coolpix P900 superzoom (super- duper -zoom?

Really, really great.

I have had the P900 for three months. It is better than I had expected. Previously I had a Nikon 1 and really liked that but this is even better. Take a lot of pics of the grandkids in soccer, track, swimming and this is very easy to set multiple pictures so I can get the perfect shot as they are...

Nikon Coolpix P900 review: The camera that's all zoom

The Nikon P900 was announced back in 2015 and remains to this day the holder of the world's biggest zoom on a consumer camera. Its 83x zoom range is equivalent to 24-2,000mm on a full-frame camera and can stretch from wide-angle vistas to pictures of the moon filling the frame.

Reasonable sharpness over a huge zoom range; Wi-Fi and GPS

The 2000mm zoom position is unwieldy; Too much reliance on menu navigation; Odd automatic ISO settings

Maybe my inexperience

I bought this camera with hopes to record track and field events from a distance. My photos are very blurry. Not happy!
