The Nikon Coolpix B500 is a bridge camera with a 16 megapixel sensor, which is paired with a 40x optical zoom. You can also activate a digital zoom up to 80x. It offers a range of shooting modes, but there's no manual control, and it can't shoot in raw format.

This camera is so simple to use. It's exactly what I was looking for. If you want a camera that isn't complicated but takes excellent pictures, choose this one.

I purchased this for my other half for her birthday. And quality is amazing for the price tag. Takes crystal clear pictures and it feels really sturdy and well made unlike some other other cameras u have seen. It has got quite a bit of weight to it which I like showing it's made to last.

Doesn't focus well and when the lens is completely out for a close up it isn't steady. Not sure why it does that but wish I had returned it. Only thing I like about it is that it pairs with my iPhone.

I purchased two of these. One for me one for my daughter. She likes that you can download the pics via app. I like the light weight but good view for far shots.

A great camera in a handsome skin. Positives- awesome zoom, cool photo transfer to mobile device (although it can be slow), great pictures, multiple "modes" for varying types of shooting, price, feels great in hand, and great videos.

THIS IS THE BEST STYLE OF CAMERA AND NOT LIKE A BRICK. VERY LIGHT EASY TO USE THE DESIGN IS OUTSTANDING. THE ZOOM IS OUT STANDIIG AND ALSO THE MACRO.

Caution. Warning. Do not buy as a simple easy automatic do everything camera. Lost family moment and can never forgive Nikon. The camera was put on EASY AUTO MODE as required to let the camera select best settings needed to capture the moment.
