Microsoft Surface Pro 6 review: Class-leader isn't without quirks

The Surface Pro series has got its number back. Yay. No more 'the new Microsoft Surface Pro'. So finally we can track the Pro from generation to generation as it, um, doesn't really progress a whole lot.

Class-leading design for a 2-in-1; Great screen resolution and brightness; Plenty of power available from such a form factor; Battery improved over previous Intel Core i model

Hardly any different to the 2017 version; Still no USB-C port; Keyboard not included; Can get very expensive (to the point a laptop might make more sense

Microsoft Surface Pro 6 review: Powerful, pretty - and pointless

We're not as enamoured by the Surface Pro 6 as we were by its predecessor. Part of this is because it's effectively the same device in many ways - it would be more accurate to call it the Surface Pro 5.5, rather than 6.

Great performance; Black colour scheme looks gorgeous

No USB-C support; Underwhelming battery life

Microsoft Surface Pro 6 review

More of the same, but the Surface Pro 6 is still one of the best Windows tablets around. Here's our review.

Microsoft Surface Pro 6 review: Microsoft adds quad-core power to its tried-and-true tablet

Microsoft's Surface Pro 6 is the latest iteration of its iconic Windows tablet, complete with an 8th-generation, quad-core chip inside of it.

Quad-core 8th-gen Core chip adds a performance bump; Core i5 model does away with the fan; Battery life improves somewhat

External chassis is essentially unchanged...again; Step down in GPU power from previous model; Confusing mix of configurations to choose from on...

Excellent product, terrible QA testing

I'm on my third device now, as the first two had screen defects (not just stuck pixels), but JL were excellent at sorting it out. Having had several laptops, from various top brands in the past, I have to say that this device is actually very good.

Very innovative, functional, and high quality

My daughter wanted a Macbook because she heard from everyone how they never had issues, but Im a PC guy. Apple makes great hardware and software, but they sure are proud of it. I recently came across a Surface Pro display at a store, and my daughter really fell in love with the quality, weight,...

Better than before, which still isn't very good.

I've had a Surface Pro 3 for several years now, my opinion of which has steadily declined since I purchased it. Plagued by bugs and flaws of every variety imaginable, it finally (and spontaneously) died outright a while back. What better to replace it with than the shiny, new 2018 model

Microsoft Surface Pro 6 : More Power, Same Design

The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 is still the best detachable 2-in-1 around with a beautiful display and solid battery life, but its port selection is stuck in the past and its storage should be faster.

Vivid display; Solid battery life; Black color looks sleek

No Thunderbolt 3 or USB Type-C; Storage is slower than competitors; Type Cover costs extra

Microsoft Surface Pro 6 review: An already exceptional 2-in-1 gets even better

The Surface Pro is entering its sixth year in existence, so it seems relevant for a "Surface Pro 6 model" to match. While the older numbering system for the name has returned, the hardware remains mostly the same as 2017's Surface Pro, now dubbed the Surface Pro "fifth gen" by Microsoft.

New CPU is substantially more powerful, Improved battery life; runs cooler, Black is awesome, Excellent build quality and design

No Type-C or Thunderbolt 3; No LTE option (yet); Odd pricing levels
