Microsoft has put out quite a few peripherals for Windows 8 over the past few weeks. While the Sculpt Comfort keyboard is not as visually striking as say the Wedge keyboard , for those who desire an ergonomic layout, Microsoft has always been a top competitor in this market.
Windows 8 has changed the way we navigate the desktop, so it's not surprising that Microsoft has a pair of new wireless mice designed specifically for
No-one could accuse Microsoft's hardware department of failing to support Windows 8 . As well as the much-vaunted Microsoft Surface Windows 8 tablet , Microsoft has launched a plethora of peripherals dedicated to the new OS.
I had high hopes of this mouse as I was using a Logitech wireless mouse and wanted to free up a USB slot and remove the dongle. I already use the excellent Microsoft ergonomic Bluetooth keyboard, so thought this mouse would be the perfect solution.
nice ergonomic feel, cushion for the base of hand, keys feels solid with good click to confirm key stroke. Only down side is no cap lock light to indicate caplock is on or off.
Comfortable Design; Reliable Performance
No CAP lock indicator
I purchased the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort when I found that my new work laptop does not have an impressive touch pad. Initially I just wanted to go for an inexpensive Bluetooth mouse. A quick search revealed that I could preserve a USB port with the offering from Microsoft.
I fiddle with this thing for an hour, got it connected to bluetooth, then there's a notification at power button to "update and restart" but after restart, the mouse would lag considerably. I would move the mouse and the cursor will take like two seconds to finally move.
As there is only one USB port, even with a multiport, use on the go quickly traps you in a web of wires that all have to be schlepped on the road . By emphasizing bluetooth, you eliminate the wires. The mouse is mid-size and light.
Works extremely well, especially after tweaking with microsoft software.
