Labs Brief: Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse

Microsoft continues to make some excellent mice for a narrow range of uses, and the Sculpt Comfort is a great example. This cheap unit is designed to work alongside Windows 8, and uses bluetooth to connect (which means you'll need a PC running Windows 8/8.1 and inbuilt bluetooth, since it doesn't...

Microsoft Sculpt Mouse

The Microsoft Sculpt Mouse has an elegant body that feels great while using the mouse. It has the left and right button plus a scroll function like any other mouse but it also has a start button on the left side of the mouse.

Three shortcut functions that make navigating through window 8 a lot easier

The mouse is shaped for right-handed people

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Desktop review

Microsoft has produced a very competent keyboard and mouse combo that's well made and comfortable to use. If you suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, RSI or similar, then the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Desktop won't be for you, and you'd be better off looking at the Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop kit...

Good build quality Comfortable to use Wireless; As we've come to expect from Microsoft's peripherals; both the keyboard and mouse have excellent build quality; and they look good too.

Expensive Not many features Keys don't feel great Large spacebar can cause errors when typing; The keys on the keyboard could do with a tiny bit more travel to make typing on them more satisfying – sometimes you're not quite sure if you've properly hit a key when typing fast.

almost there...but not good enough.

having a mouse that doesn't stay connected is extremely frustrating. Iam going back to my logitech nano mx...which has been a reliable mouse.

does not require a usb dongle; works on existing bluetooth wifi card on your ultrabook/notebook (ie frees up a usb port

continually disconnects requiring full unpairing continually sleeps requiring 10-15 seconds to turn on not ready for market (using intel-AC-BT 4.00) with all recent drivers...advanced user

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Keyboard

The Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Keyboard is a solid choice for anyone looking for a keyboard with Windows 8 hotkeys or who'd benefit from a dual-function spacebar. For everyone else, though, it's a fairly standard keyboard with a comfortable contour shape, but it could use more features, like...

Unique dual-function spacebar; Detachable padded wrist rest; Hotkeys and charm keys optimized for Windows 8

Keys aren't backlit; Requires a dongle; Batteries aren't rechargeable; Directional arrows don't scroll through the Windows 8 tiled interface

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse

Mouse keeps disappearing from screen. Have to switch computer off to get it back or plug in another mouse. Would not recommend.

Love Design but doesent work well

Set up and instalation is no brainer. Love the Design, but blutooth range is seriouly flawed. It has a usable distance from usb transceiver of less than 3 ft so putting keyboard on your lap, you will find it actualy only registers about a third of letters typed. If Microsoft improved on transceivers...
