Good mouse sabotaged by absolutely horrible scroll wheel

To be clear, in my review I'm not referring to the lurchy, lightning fast scrolling behavior some users have reported. All that can be adjusted in the system mouse settings and product's companion software.

Size; location; and comfort of side buttons; overall size of mouse; tracking precision

Scroll wheel, scroll wheel, scroll wheel; Two deal breakers here; First, it's smooth as a plastic wheel on a toy train and has no discernible cogs whatsoever to provide that nice, solid tracking certainty every scroll wheel should provide.

Very good cheap mouse

Bought this mouse to replace an old mouse I had that still had a ball in it. Nothing too fancy but for the price it does a great job

Great for those who want to do some serious work on the RT

This keyboard is quite small. I got this click and collect and was amazed I could get it the next day and before lunch time at my local Waitrose.

THIS MOUSE HAS TWO EXTRA BUTTONS ONE ON EACH SIDE TO BIND KEYS FOR PLAYING GAMES. I DIDNT WANT TO PURCHASE A GAMING MOUSE AS THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE AND THIS IS AN EXCELLENT ALTERNATIVE AND IS JUST AS GOOD ID SAY.

Great mouse, button placement very appropriate.

Durable and sensitive, great for work, and I recon for gaming as well. Exactly what I was looking for: 5 buttons, with one for the thumb and one for the pinky. The pinky button is important to me, and its so, so hard to find a decent mouse with this configuration for a decent price.

1 extra button on either side, one for the thumb and one for the pinky; I have a pinky for a reason, I DONT want to bend my thumb unnaturally to use 2 thumb buttons! This actually solves the problem.

Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard

Microsoft hardware goes one of two ways: it's either mind-blowingly good, or something that isn't fit to keep a door open on a windy day. Keyboards are no exception, and when you find a good Microsoft keyboard, it will be with you for a long time.

Great design; ideal for media centre PCs; cover makes a great tablet stand

Fairly hard to type on; almost unbelievably expensive

This Bluetooth keyboard is an excellent compact companion for a Windows 8 tablet, and the well-designed cover doubles as a handy stand to prop up your slate.

Striking industrial design; Looks and feels sturdy; Includes Windows 8 shortcut keys

A bit heavy; Shortcut keys make it Windows-centric; although keyboard does work with Android and Apple devices; Keys feel slightly cramped

Drive a wedge

Leaning into the October launch of tablet -ready Windows 8, Microsoft's Wedge Mobile Keyboard and Mouse saves you from sacrificing screen real estate for data input. The two compact tools are both Bluetooth-enabled and designed to match smoothly with the company's operating system.

Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard review: a keyboard designed for Windows 8 tablets

Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard isn't a keyboard that you'd want to use with a desktop PC, but if you're going to be doing a lot of...
