Marshall Kilburn II Review

It's hard to stand out in the Bluetooth speaker arena if you don't have a unique selling point. Marshall's thing is to trade heavily on rocker vibes, with speakers that look like guitar amps. In the case of the Marshall Kilburn II, this is no gimmick. It sounds as good as it looks.

Gorgeous design; Excellent build; Powerful sound; Splashproof

Could do with greater separation

Marshall Kilburn II review

The idea of a Marshall speaker sounds like it could be a bit of a gimmick, an amp-stack-shaped thing for a teenager’s bedroom. Its Marshall Kilburn II shows this really isn’t the case, though. This is a serious wireless speaker with big, energetic sound and an attractive, practical design, with plenty of that classic Marshall whiff. It doesn’t have the deepest bass or the most convincing mids in this class. But it is a lot of fun, and those amp-ode control knobs are far more useful than you might imagine.

Good sound ; Sharp Marshall look ;

Could be more water resistant ; Limited controls ; The very best have deeper bass, firmer mids ;

Marshall Kilburn II : The best vintage speaker

Marshall’s second iteration of the Kilburn speaker is a real rock ‘n’ roll star – everything its predecessor should have been

Beautiful design; Adjustable on-the-fly bass and treble knobs;

Loud but unrefined sound; No smart functionalities; Comparatively expensive;

A step back from last model

Disappointed in the changes- no longer has AUX input. Wake button- in exchange for what- higher version Bluetooth! Not necessary. I liked the Gold trim on the older model. The sound is the same- I might add that the older one sounds a bit better separation. Shame!

Absolutely fabulous

Omg, what an amazing little speaker. The sound is amazing and being able to adjust the bass and treble only makes this more fantastic. It is a lovely size and the carry handle is a great added bonus. It is so quick and easy to connect and since I've had it i no longer use my other music system.

Very happy with what i got

"I'm loving the speaker so far. The basses and the treble buttons are really useful. The speaker could be used for a night out cause it's very loud. The only drawback is the weight, but it is still carriable with the strap."

Great Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

Besides the power, I love the ability to shape the output tone with individual bass and treble controls, the long battery life and meter that shows how much battery life is left. Great at low volume and when you feel like Cranking it Up to 10.

Ultimate Outdoor Party Companion

Ultimate Outdoor Party CompanionBought this as a replacement to my JBL Charge 2, Great battery life, Amazing sound and bass, especially with the addition of the extra speaker in the back of the unit! The carry handle makes it super easy to move around.
