Marshall Kilburn II: The best retro-looking speaker

The Kilburn II, much like its predecessor, doesn't have a lot of features to boast about, nor does it sound as good as some of its rivals. It might seem hard to justify splashing out £269 on an above-average-sounding speaker, however, the Kilburn II is more than just a Bluetooth speaker – it's a...

Beautiful design; Adjustable on-the-fly bass and treble knobs

Loud but unrefined sound; No smart functionalities; Comparatively expensive

Marshall Kilburn II Review

It's hard to stand out in the Bluetooth speaker arena if you don't have a unique selling point. Marshall's thing is to trade heavily on rocker vibes, with speakers that look like guitar amps. In the case of the Marshall Kilburn II, this is no gimmick. It sounds as good as it looks.

Gorgeous design; Excellent build; Powerful sound; Splashproof

Could do with greater separation

Absolutely fabulous

Omg, what an amazing little speaker. The sound is amazing and being able to adjust the bass and treble only makes this more fantastic. It is a lovely size and the carry handle is a great added bonus. It is so quick and easy to connect and since I've had it i no longer use my other music system.

Very happy with what i got

"I'm loving the speaker so far. The basses and the treble buttons are really useful. The speaker could be used for a night out cause it's very loud. The only drawback is the weight, but it is still carriable with the strap."

Marshall Kilburn II

The Marshall Kilburn II packs impressively powerful audio performance in its size. The price feels high, though: Ultimately, this is not what we expect a $300 speaker to sound like. There could be more sub-bass, for sure-the lows cut out before there's any semblance of subwoofer-like output.

Powerful audio output with rich lows and bright, clear highs; Handsome, amp-inspired design; Bass and treble knobs

Expensive; Lacks sub-bass; Water-resistance rating (IPX2) is about as low as it gets

Great Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

Besides the power, I love the ability to shape the output tone with individual bass and treble controls, the long battery life and meter that shows how much battery life is left. Great at low volume and when you feel like Cranking it Up to 10.

Legendary British amp manufacturer Marshall has followed up its popular Kilburn speaker with its "stout-hearted hero" sibling, the Kilburn II, available now for RRP $499.99. As someone who grew up around electric guitars, basses, and rock music co

Portable and awesome

I'm using it all the time and everywhere. I finally don't have to wear headphones when I move around the house. I just simply take my magic box with me. I use it in bathroom, living room, kitchen, outside and in the car.

Good quality sound for a portable speaker.

We are definitely enjoying this speaker. The sound is excellent; and I can easily carry it from room to room.
