I listen to a lot of electronic music. Dubstep, drumstep, drum and bass, etc. With tons of bass and crystal clear highs these speakers far out weighed my expectations when I hooked them up.

I went in looking for some speakers that would cover all ranges of sound and be able to fill a room if i'm watching something with friends. Can get way louder than i need and can hear every detail of any game or movie.

The speaker system has two satellites with dinky 2.5" full range drivers. There are no dedicated tweeters and to some degree the sound reflects that. The Logitech Z623 offers powerful stereo sound at a price that can get as low as £110 in certain online outlets, which is attractive. The system sounds bold and offers powerful deep bass that makes it easily a good option for partying or waking up the neighbors.

Logitech astounds us on a regular basis with their ability to produce dirt-cheap yet solid-sounding speakers. We can only imagine how thin their profit margins must be; heck, that's probably why there are so few other players in this segment.

The last Logitech product I reviewed was the S715i , which I absolutely love. So when I heard that they'd launched a THX certified 2.1 speaker system, I just had to take a closer look at it.

Logitech's Z623 speaker set has been designed with the film fan in mind. They are one of very few 2.1 speaker sets to be fully certified by cinema audio specialists THX, which should mean movie soundtracks sound exactly how the director intended.

I am sending the speakers back I played them with my ipod the bass was perfect but the small speakers kept popping even on half volume. I had issues like this before with Logitech too bad as I said the bass was awesome.
