Racing simulator buffs haven't exactly been spoilt for choice when it comes to affordable driving wheels on PC. While serious racing fans might lean toward a Fanatec setup or something similar, Logitech and Thrustmaster are the two most popular brands as they tend to offer more affordable packages.

Whether you've been driving for 2 years or 20, stepping behind the wheel of a car going 150 or 200 miles per hour is a whole new experience compared to the more normal speed limits of everyday life. It's so different that, for most racing enthusiasts, using an analog stick makes sense.

The wheel is great, solid construction. Reacts well to the on screen action. One warning though the brake is near unusable, it is FAR too stiff. If you're feeling brave you can take out the rubber dampener. I did and now it feels great!

I have only just got this setup so I can't comment on the reliability at this stage. As an entry level wheel this setup is ideal. I highly recommend getting the gear shifter add on as well. Most importantly if you are going to get a setup like this, you will a nice seat and wheel mount frame.

Racing games are cutting edge. They've always pushed the boundaries of what's possible in gaming, and chances are you've mistaken their graphics for the real thing. It's gotten even better since then. Realism has caught on.
