I bought this keyboard for the "Cherry Switches" and the key back lighting. Having used it for a week, I really feel I should have looked further (and maybe saved some money).
A good, solid keyboard thanks to the Cherry Switches; Nice action and movement; Both sides of the keyboard have "CTRL", "Windows" and "ALT" which is nice, but you have to get use to the no standard layout to take advantage of them
1) In order to be stylish, Logitech put the upper case keys "under" the normal keys, So + is under =, not above it; 2) You need to d/l the Logitech Gaming Software, even if you don't play games.
When reviewing a gaming keyboard it is incredibly difficult to actually benchmark a keyboard in some way to say whether or not you have a good or bad keyboard from a score that is accrued through various tests.

The G610 Orion deploys familiar Cherry MX key switch technology in a smart, understated design. It marks a departure from other recent Logitech gaming products: those have been brighter and more outlandish, and they've also relied on Logitech's own proprietary mechanical switches.
Cherry MX Red switches; Media keys included; Smart and sturdy design
Limited macro functionality; Occasional typing inconsistencies; No USB passthrough
Although they pack few fancy features, Logitech's G610 Orion Red and Brown keyboards offer simple, reliable performance that mechanical keyboard enthusiasts will appreciate.
A little while ago I reviewed Logitech's new G810 Orion Spectrum keyboard . I loved it, I gave it a full whack of score-stars plus an award. For exactly the same reasons the newer G610 Orion Brown received identical accolades.

An outstanding mechanical keyboard for both the gaming room and the office.
