A few months ago, I praised Logitech's G810 mechanical keyboard for offering everything needed in a premium keyboard without all the extra frills that tend to outline a "gaming" product. Now Logitech is applying that same design restraint with the new Logitech G533 gaming headset.

The G533 makes an interesting counterpoint to its predecessors. Pull up pictures of 2016's G633 and G933 headset, the heirs apparent to Logitech's old G930-bulky air-traffic-controller silhouette, coffin-shaped earcups, RGB lighting, edgy accent decorations. The video game aesthetic.

Not amazing, not horrible. 7.1 wireless is nice, but the sound is average. Looks very streamlined, but earpads are rough and uncomfortable. I'd spend the extra and get something better.

Great as you are not tied to the computer

If they made the dongle micro sized these would be near perfect. Having this over sized dongle sticking out of the side of the laptop is a pain and being able to leave the dongle in, beside the micro G900 mouse dongle not having to remove it and possiblely lose or break it would make these...

Light weight. Sound is 8/10 for the price. Happy with purchase!

Logitech's redesigned G533 headset isn't as flashy as most gaming headsets these days, but we like it that way.

(this happened for me, so it might help you) Once you have these and download the Logitech Gaming software, you'll need to go to the ‘Customize Audio Experiance’ tab and change the ‘sidetone’ slide to 0, otherwise you'll hear yourself when you speak, and then go to the ‘Customize Surround Sound’ tab and change the drop down tab to ‘Logitech Signature Studio’, then my friend, you will have the best headphones you will have owned in a long long time
