Logitech G533 Wireless Gaming Headset Review

Logitech's $200 G933 Artemis has stood as one of our favorite wireless gaming headsets for a year, thanks to its excellent audio performance and flexible connection options. The $149.99 G533 headset is a more affordable alternative to that model. It sheds the customizable lighting, which is no big loss, but it also loses the ability to connect with wired sources, limiting what you can use it with besides a PC. It also has a much more bass-heavy sound signature that can overwhelm high frequency presence. You're better off with the Steelseries Arctis 7 ($278.99 at Amazon) , which gets you better sound quality and connectivity options for the same price. Design The G533 headset ($69.99 at Amazon) looks fairly unassuming. It eschews the lighting effects of the G933 in favor of unlit, plain black plastic. This doesn't mean the headset looks cheap, however. The earcups are a nice combination of textures, with attractive flat, glossy back panels raised over matte contours, which are in ...

The Logitech G533 is a comfortable wireless gaming headset with few connection options and perhaps too much bass.

Comfortable fit; Powerful sound

Lacks wired connection options; Overwhelming bass

Pretty good but pricy

This headset really is nice but for the price i find it to be a bit lacking. I've had $30 headphones be much more comfortable and easier to wear for long periods of time. the freedom of being cable free is really nice and worth extra money but for $130 these headphones really should have leather...

No connectivity issues

the 7.1 surround feature just seems echo-y in most applications although thats probably more a support issue than this headphone's issue

Overall great quality.

My experience with this headset has been astounding, the sound quality is good like any other 7.1 surround sound but i'm guessing that's not what you're looking for. The mic is very high quality I don't think any of the videos online showcasing it does it any justice, it sounds much better in person and everybody I talk to using the mic say they can hear me perfectly fine. It doesn't pick up much background noise at all you could be trying to type a 1000 word essay in 5 minutes slamming at the keyboard and little to no sound at all would be picked up by the mic except you're voice. The one downside to the mic is that I feel like the noice cancelling can be a bit too strong sometimes in a way that make you a bit too quite fro some people's liking but it's not a big deal at all. The headset feels very comfortable when you're wearing it and is lighter then what I expected, the mesh it uses is very breathable so it wont get hot around your ears very easily if ever. Out of all the headsets i've ever owned this has to be the best of the best so I definitely recommend it to everyone!

Logitech G533

The Logitech G533 wireless is a decent headset, but doesn't stand out in a competitive market.

Lightweight frame; Impressive wireless range; Engaging gaming audio; Good battery life

Lack of musical clarity; Audio settings need a little tweaking; Gets a little uncomfortable with prolonged use; More expensive than rivals

Logitech G533 Wireless 7.1 Surround Gaming Headset Review

The G533 Wireless headset is the latest offering from Logitech, combining the company's premium Pro-G drivers, 15-hour battery life, and a new, more functional style. Obvious comparisons can be made to last year's G933 Artemis Spectrum, since both are wireless headsets using Logitech's Pro-G...

Logitech G533 Wireless Headset

So how did the Logitech G533 end up turning out While gaming headsets still haven't caught up to the performance of standard headphones, the G533 did a good job in the key areas.

Logitech G533 Gaming Headset Review

While they may not have as much bass as we would have liked, the soundstage that the Pro-G drivers creates is simply unmatched by any other wireless headset on the market today. Back this up with incredible voice clarity through the mic and a lightweight design, and you've got a contender for one of...

Logitech G533 Wireless Review

The Logitech G533 is the logical successor to the company's ageing but still popular G930. It is still a wireless, virtual 7.1 surround sound gaming headset, but it has seen a number of a technological upgrades to modernise it.

Logitech G533 Review

Strong audio performance, a powerful mic, and tons of customization place Logitech's G533 at the top of its class.

DTS Headphone:X performs magnificently; Flexible EQ and surround settings; Sleek; understated aesthetic; Long battery life

Padding is rougher than most headsets; Lacks settings or presets for music

Logitech G533 Wireless Gaming Headset

We really like the G533, but we have a little trouble recommending it without reservation at this point due to its price, and in part due to what we view as confusing marketing. Below we've put together a compliation of some of Logitech's top gaming products.

Sleek LED-less styling; ultra-light; impressive DTS 7.1 sound in games; excellent microphone; 16-hour runtime

Boring LED-less styling; sound quality for music is just average; a bit too expensive compared to competitors
