Today we are checking out Logitech's latest and greatest gaming mouse, the G502 ‘Proteus Core'. It sounds pretty badass and well, it is. The G502 is also quite special in the sense that it's the world's first ever mouse to feature a sensor with a staggering 12,000 DPI rating.

The gaming peripheral market is littered with brands and their offerings and therefore, gaining that all important spotlight is especially difficult because of the fierce competition.

I have tried out more a dozen Logitech mice since the 1990s and I must say, the latest versions today seem to miss some of the design finesse that the famed mouse maker is known for.
