Logitech ConferenceCam Connect

Only ten products were selected for PCMag's Beautiful Objects for an Organized Workspace story, and Logitech's $499.99 ConferenceCam Connect was one of them. This is almost certainly the slickest-looking conference camera we've ever seen.

Beautiful cylindrical design with tucked-in remote control; Portable; can run on battery power

No mechanical panning; Digital zoom only; Remote occasionally unresponsive

Outstanding resolution and very easy set up

Outstanding resolution and very easy set up. We had the camera up and Skyp'ing in 45 minutes tops. Was different then our USB camera to integrate into the entire system. BUT 45 minutes, that is easy. A more simple system, 15-20 tops! Great product.

Logitech ConferenceCam Connect review

The webcam has come a long way over the last 20 years, since Connectix unveiled the black-and-white QuickCam in 1994, a model with a qVGA resolution (that's a quarter of VGA) that cost a hundred bucks at launch. Connectix's webcam business was acquired by Logitech in 1998.

Good product for small teams

A good product that works very well. Is best for a max of 6 people I would say as its 90 degree field of view means that more than 6 people cannot be fitted in.

This is almost certainly the slickest-looking conference camera we've ever seen. Its cylindrical body comes in either silver or red, with a snap-in compartment for the remote. Its tidy design makes it portable, and it can run on battery power, making it a good choice for business users on the go. It doesn't quite match our Editors' Choice, AVer VC520 Conference Camera , in terms of audio and video quality, but it only costs half the price. Starting Up and ConferencingThere's hardly anything to connect when setting up the ConferenceCam ($499.00 at Amazon) . It's just a single unit, along with a remote control that snaps into the camera tower, a USB connector, and a power adapter in the box. The camera itself measures 11.98 by 2.95 by 2.95 inches (HWD) and weighs 1.7 pounds, making it easy to pack in your luggage. Part of the ...

With its stylish, easily portable design and reasonable price tag, Logitech's ConferenceCam Connect will suit many a business user on the move.
