I love all the features this clock offers, including the phone dock charger. I hate that this clock is so unreliable and uncontrollable, it is a very poor substitute for my old clock radio. It does not work far more times than it does, Google struggles daily to put the radio on and even to turn it off, it repeatedly responds to my simple requests to play a radio station or tell me the day's weather forecast/temperature. If I had a dollar for every time Google responds, Mmmm, I'm sorry, there must be a glitch, try again in a few seconds, I would replace the Lenovo Smart clock with another brand immediately, I am writing to Lenovo to request a refund.
Looks good. Easy to set up and use.
Works well and linked to wifi - top buy!
we are very pleased with the clock and wireless charging dock, works extremely well and couldn't be happier. delivery time requires improvement.
The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 is a neat little device for your nightstand, serving as a phone charger, alarm clock, nightlight and smart speaker. It has Google Assistant built in, allowing you to control your smart home devices without even getting out of bed, and it can stream songs from Spotify or YouTube Music either for general use, or as alarm sounds. Unfortunately for Lenovo while the Smart Clock 2 is a likable little device, other similarly-priced Google-Assistant smart displays offer bigger screens and the ability to watch videos, making for a more tempting proposition.
Compact, attractive design; Google Assistant built-in; Optional wireless charging base;
Touchscreen sometimes lags; Can’t play videos; Lack of camera may disappoint
Lenovo's $69.99 Smart Clock 2 is more of a slight reimagining of the original Smart Clock than a proper sequel. We like the addition of an optional wireless charging base with a built-in night-light, but are disappointed that Lenovo moved the USB-A port (for charging other devices) from the body of the clock to the dock, making it feel more necessary than optional and bringing the total price to $89.99. And aside from the dock, this is pretty much the same Google Assistant smart display as the previous model, with mediocre touch-screen functionality and underwhelming sound quality. Depending on your voice assistant of choice, you'll be better served by the $99.99 Google Nest Hub or the $84.99 Amazon Echo Show 5.Pretty Much the Same The Smart Clock 2 closely resembles the original. Both feature fabric-covered bodies (blue or gray this time around) with triangular profiles that tilt the touch screen up slightly and form top edges rather than flat panels. It's a bit less triangular t...
The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 has been redesigned to work with an optional wireless charging dock, but otherwise doesn't offer any benefits over its unimpressive predecessor.
Optional base with wireless charging pad and night-light
Mediocre sound quality for music; Touch screen doesn't have many functions; USB port moved from the clock itself to the optional dock
