[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought six months ago. POSITIVE: Its very quite. NEGATIVE: It damages our clothes on any cycle except "Delicate". Any other cycle is too frugal with water - not enough! You can see through the door that the washing load just thump, thump, thumps down the sides of the tumbler onto hard metal surface. Our towels have been ruined by just a couple of washes on standard mixed cycles. They now feel more like scouring pads, with the cotton loops hardened. So we have to wash our new towels on "Delicate", which does not clean very well. Tried several detergents and always now have to use fabric softeners. Wish we had never bought it. If LG would give us our money back we would not hesitate.

After a long time of comparing different brands of washing machines I finally decided that I wanted a front loader and that LG was the brand I was going with. I can honestly say that I am so glad that I did! It’s the best machine I have owned, I love all the settings, it washes like a dream and is quiet. I love that I can operate the machine from the touch of a button on my smart phone giving me total control of when my washing starts and finishes and I can also monitor how long it has left, however the app will send me a notification once the cycle is complete. I highly recommend the LG washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this LG 8KG washing machine (WV5-1408W) 3 months ago now and just love it. It's so quiet I can barely hear it running with the laundry cabinet closed. I have used the Cotton, Mixed Fabric, Quick 30, Delicates, and Sportswear cycles and all wash very well though I would say the Sportswear would benefit from a pre-wash option for heavily soiled items. If that's the case I just use Mixed Fabric instead. It doesn't have an option on the dial for rinse/spin but I'm pretty sure you can do this with the Download Cycle selection. I'm happy with the size and the glass on the front looks fantastic. Compared to previous front loaders I have owned, this one is remarkably stable and hasn't moved a millimeter since installation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this washing machine during second Melbourne's lockdown, it's a perfect size for one bedroom apartment, I really love the smart notification feature, especially when it has completed a cycle, I even can see a notification on my LG OLED tv which is a bonus. The only downside is the wifi feature is differ from what I thought it would be, didn't realise that I wasn't able to remotely start the wash machine, hence I have to walk to the laundry room to physically press the power button in order to use the wifi feature, but overall, it's a very powerful and energy efficient washing machine and also I can download different cycle modes via my ThinQ app. Definitely enjoy it more when you have LG ThinQ smart home eco-system.

I bought this machine a bit over a week ago & cannot recommend it more especially to anyone hesitating. I swapped from a top loader to this front loader & my clothes have never been cleaner. The machine looks pretty, washes quietly & when you pair it to your phone alerts you to when loads are done. All the guys in the home section at the Hurstville branch were friendly & very knowledgeable about the products & happily spent time explaining the pros & cons of various machines & brands. The only semi negative thing I’ll say is the length of time for a single load average 2 hours. Other than that it’s a great machine & a great price. I’ll definitely recommend this washing machine & can’t speak more highly of the staff & service at the Hurstville branch.
