The subtle curve of the corners, the ample performance, the way it just feels right in your hand. The G6 is a reminder that LG can make great smartphones when it isn't trying to make them modular.

LG G6 Review

The LG G6 is a beautiful handset that isbuilt with purpose: battery life, simplicity, beauty, durability, and reliability. LG has largely succeeded in achieving these goals into a solid handset that leads the way for a 2017 transition from 16:9 to 18:9 (2:1) display aspect ratio.

Large display in a reasonably sized chassis; Stunning and unique wide camera shots; Designed for life with water-resistance and shock awareness

Very good camera; but S7 and Pixel are ahead; Available feature set is different per region

After LG went wild with the G5, this year's flagship G6 can't help but seem a little subdued by comparison. That's alright, though: It's full of notable improvements, from the water-resistant body to the beautiful, extra-long screen. Plus, the dual-camera setup feels a lot more polished.

Gorgeous 18:9 display; Solid performance despite older chip; Dual camera offers lots of flexibility; It's water-resistant

LG's interface still isn't for everyone; Disappointing battery life; Plain industrial design; Unimpressive audio

With Samsung's Infinity Display and Sony's Ultra Slow-Mo, it will not be an easy run-in for anyone OEM in 2017. Away from cheap thrills and gimmicks in the form of modular approach, LG admitted to the those in attendance at MWC that the view pushed the company in the wrong direction.

LG G6 review: A nearly flawless masterpiece that's easy to fall in love with

The new G6 from LG marks a new design era for smartphones, and for LG, an important return to fundamentals. Gone are the gimmicks of old. There's no leather back, curved screen or modular components.

LG is on to a winner with its new G6 smartphones which offers the best of both worlds – a larger screen to enjoy your content within a small chassis that can still be used with one hand.

Sleek phone with useful features, great performance and beautiful display

I've now owned this phone for a week and I can say my experience has been a good one thus far. I would definitely recommend this phone for anyone who wants a top 5 phone at a price point that doesn't hurt your wallet.

USB-C quick charge; crisp display and slim form factor

Battery is average; front facing camera is okay but not great and internal memory could be better

LG G6 Review: The display is the key

After the ill-fated modular excesses of 2016, LG has found its head in 2017, and the LG G6 is all the better for it. Owners of the G5 may be left frustrated that the vision of interchangeable accessories and growing functionality they were promised has failed to pan out, but the rest of us are...

18:9 display makes the G6 easy to hold; Great camera performance; Wide-angle camera is useful and unusual

Design is sober; bordering on boring; No Quad DAC or 64GB option on US G6; Most streaming video is still 16:9

LG G6 review: a new way of looking at things

LG has had to withstand two strong blows with its last flagships. As we know the LG G5 has been far from a success, ending the good reputation the company had come to rely on since releasing the G3 or the G4.

Wide angle camera; Performance; Display

Small internal memory (32 GB; No Daydream; Large price tag

LG G6 review: a great gimmick-free smartphone

The G6 is a pretty special design, LG was the first big manufacturer (just beating Samsung) to adopt the large screen, small bezel aesthetic, squeezing a 5.7-inch display into a phone which measures 148.9 x 71.9mm.

Large 18:9 display; Premium design; Waterproofing

Slightly hollow feel; UI; 2016 chipset
