Kensington Orbit Trackball with Scroll Ring: A Solid Performer

If you want a trackball with a scroll wheel, you can't go far wrong with this.

Smooth scroll wheel; comfortable; performs well

Can get sluggish when dirty; care must be taken when cleaning

My starter trackball

I haven't used a trackball before so I have nothing to compare this to except for my Logitech mouse that is so responsive to my touch and this one isn't quite that. I was used to giving the scroll a twirl and having it run to the top or bottom of the page - just like that!

Kensington Orbit trackball

The blue ball is big, one and a half inches diameter, great for easy and speedy handling and accuracy. The scroll ring is easy to use and allows me to scroll up and down in a more controlled manner.

Kensington Orbit Trackball review

The idea, according to the simple, multilingual marketing spiel on the front of the Orbit Trackball box, is 'comfort meeting control'. Having only ever used a trackball in abortive attempts to enjoy the odd Missile Command cabinet, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but I've actually been...

"Comfortable and functional"

Still getting used to it, but it works well enough

It felt natural using the trackball except for the right and left click buttons that felt too far way from the centre of the device. Resting my palm on it also felt good without and strain on my wrist. I use this with a regular mouse.

-Comfortable to use; -Tracks smoothly; -Scroll wheel

-Right and left click buttons feels a little awkward to use

This is good if you suffer from wrist hand or finger issues

I use this at work because i have been getting pain in my hand from my normal mouse. I bought a shark style mouse and that helps some but i find switching between thos mousr and the anker shark fin work best. So i leave them both on ny desk.

Good value

I was shopping for a replacement for my Microsoft Trackball Explorer (RIP), and this one seemed to come the closest. I'm satisfied with everything except for the hard click sound the buttons make. It makes me feel like I need to press the button down harder than I did with my previous trackball.

Not the best trackball mouse ever, but it'll do for now

I bought the Kensington Oribit Optical Trackball mouse about 2 weeks ago and have had no problems with it to date. It was easy to hook up, no software to install with it and it's simple to use. The shape of it is nice, it fits right into the palm of your hand very comfortably.
